@potatispress: I feel like logically 2020 shouldn't be included in the last decade. General assumption is that's from 2010-2019 right?

Which makes the comment even more ridiculous because it then states that it's better than every game that will come out in the next ten years.

Or they're changing the range of the decade just to write a hype sentence.

@rizla: Same here. Turns out one of the best features of the ps5 so far is having an excuse to go back and play hits I've missed. They definitely perform better than they would have in my original launch ps4.

Yeah this has got to be patched out. I get that for those sequences they're trying to evoke a whole stimulating your brain through this headset kinda deal but it's incredibly irresponsible to create something so similar to an actual test that induces seizures to detect epilepsy. Putting some flashing lights in the headset adds nothing of significant value and is a health risk to people affected by this, so yeah, it's gotta go. Can't believe they couldn't catch that or even just question it when deciding to implement.

I like CDPR's work on other games and I'm sure this will be a fun game, but they have been doing this more than long enough to know better. Kinda baffling really. Hopefully they jump on it asap.

I was interested in buying it soon after release but now I think I'll wait for later patches, dlc content, and maybe a sale. I see no real benefit to playing it right now. A deus ex/gta/skyrim styled game littered with glitches doesn't sound like a great time to me to be honest. There's enough other skyrim-styled games out there that I can get that rpg fix from more polished and complete games. I suspect this game will be better experienced for the first time later next year.

Plus, I've had a low tolerance lately for some of the things Jeff and Jeff were describing. I'll want to see it for myself to see how obnoxious it is, but it almost sounds like the game leans into the edgy mature content for no real benefit. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at them describing dildos stuck to the walls for no reason among other things. If it feels like I'm playing a teens vision of a cool and funny dark future then I'm out.

Definitely looking forward to the quick look. I want to see the guys give a tour of the game and gameplay since it sounds like a lot of reviews are being limited to showing footage provided by CDPR going by some buzz I've heard.

Hm. Can't say any reviews have changed my opinion that this is one to wait on. Going to wait for release day to see more content and make another judgment then, but at the moment I feel like I'll get the better experience if I wait for the next gen console upgraded version, wait for them to patch their bugs, and potentially wait for more content to hit through dlc.

I wouldn't buy something that wasn't your first and most wanted choice at this point. I've got a new gen console (disc PS5) and while it's nice to have over my base ps4, I wouldn't tell anyone that rushing the purchase is worth it. Especially if you are buying your second choice just cause it's there.

Wait it out. By the time enough games are releasing on these consoles they'll be widely available. If you happen to find the thing you really want, go for it. I happened to get lucky with sony direct and don't regret it, but again, don't let scarcity tempt you into settling for anything but what your really really want.

Origins and Odyssey are both worth it imo. Especially if you enjoyed Valhalla. It's Playstation locked, but honestly in terms of "assassinating" Im finding Ghost of Tsushima to have far more satisfying assassin gameplay mixed with open world than recent assassin's creed. If you have access to it I'd recommend that as well.

Deus Ex may interest you also? Human Revolution and Mankind Divided have pretty fun first person sneaky assassination gameplay with all the cyber power ups you can get. And of course, cyberpunk 2077 should also be good along those lines but we don't know the full quality of that game yet.

@bigsocrates: No one is saying you said it's fraud. We're responding to your statement that they've effectively locked you out of content that you've paid for. To which, I ask, how have you paid for it only to be locked out of it? You still have access to ps+ and all that was offered on the ps4. You don't have access to what is offered on the ps5 for ps+. Because you haven't bought a ps5. If your only answer to that is to set up a straw man by saying we're claiming it's not fraud and missing your point then I can't say that you've convinced me.

Under what circumstances have you paid for the ps+ collection? It's a free PS5 feature of ps+. It's not like you had the service and then they took it away from you to make it exclusive to PS5. They were previously priced titles that are now free to plus members who bought a ps5 and most have been free to ps4 owners in the past. And last I checked we aren't being billed more to accommodate PS5 users having this feature. In fact, PS5 owners have paid an additional fee that you have not because they bought a PS5.

I'm just trying to imagine being angry about people who spent $500 getting free games that I've had access to (and in most cases, have had free from ps+ as well) and I can't work up that kinda anger. I'd even say that it seems nice that Sony realizes console launches are barren and are offering something to those who buy in early. They should go further with it, really.

I suppose when it comes down to it, there's a pessimistic take on everything though.
