I'm cautiously interested.

I loved TWEWY back when I was in high school. Fun art, fun music, fun story. My main concern now is I'm over 10 years removed from where I was when I really got into the themes of that game and the angst that came with it.

A lot has happened since then. Even seeing the word sheeple used at least twice during the trailer gives me some serious cringe. Recent events from the past few years makes that kind of attitude and wording really close to a pretty bad taste I'm trying to get out of my mouth.

Spent a hell of a lot of time just trying to buy a PS5 and finally succeeded yesterday. Which, have to say, say what you will about Sony mishandling pre-orders and whatnot, but at least they're providing pretty much the only way to buy the console where you don't have to worry about scalpers as much. Pretty much just took trying their daily queue enough times until I was eventually at the front. Granted, that was a week, but there was pretty much no hope trying to buy from every other retailer with their sites crashing.

Anyway, I don't have it at my place yet so can't give impressions. But just in general I feel like I'm more looking forward to playing PS4 games that will run better than they do on my old base PS4. More so than I'm looking forward to PS5 games right now. Demon's Souls looks great and I'll be playing it and Miles Morales, but I've been holding off on stuff like Ghost of Tsushima until I could play it on PS5. Even just having better (hopefully) load times on Monster Hunter World would be nice. And while its no game pass, the collection they're offering has a few heavy hitting titles that I never bought on ps4. Might give God of War a spin finally.

Also the more I hear about it the more I think I'd love Yakuza Like a Dragon? So I might try that out as well.

Hades and Animal Crossing have been the best experiences for me this year so far. Nioh 2 is pretty cool too though.

My wife and I have been ecstatic. There's a long ways to go to fix the issues we have in this country, and who knows what's going to happen with the senate... but we at least feel more comfortable about the future now. There's at least a chance to not just devolve further. I know Trump's going to go down kicking and screaming, but with this announcement I feel like I can at least take a breath for now. He'll file his lawsuits, try to squeeze every bit of corruption out of whatever rule he can find, but for the first time in awhile I'm actually feeling proud of what we accomplished.

Whether it was voting against trump or voting for biden, getting past his rhetoric and inflammatory support is an accomplishment. Personally I'm not in a State that was ever going to go blue, but I'll just take the satisfaction of knowing that I tallied a number up there to say enough is enough.

@stalefishies: Thank you for saying what I was thinking. Conversation here is falling to quickly to acting holier than thou. Like do we really need so many comments trying to one up the OP by telling them they're bad for wanting to discuss their distaste for Dan's stream.

They had a point to ponder about and wanted to discuss it. If you think it's a weird topic to talk about just take the advice you're giving to OP and move on. No need to gang up on the person.

Can't say I trust that this game is going to be coming is a non-buggy state at this point. Definitely going to hold off and wait to see impressions and any issues/disappointments that arise in launch week. As much as I enjoyed Witcher 3, seeing them still miss their targets is a huge red flag and makes me wonder what all they're accepting as "good enough" to release that we aren't hearing about while they crunch on whatever this is thats going on.

It was certainly an interesting show, and I say was not because it isn't still on but more because at this point I think the novelty has worn off.

I wouldn't really call it ground breaking concept though. I was only a kid but I always saw it as Survivor but instead of the wilderness they locked people in a house. So it didn't seem like some wild creative concept to me. It was just the show that they cycled in and out with survivor as the year went on and last I watched 4 years ago that's still what it was.

Personally believe that its good to be aware of the worst parts of a fandom and not let that settle in a way that gets normalized because it is truly horrible, but a couple of the posts here border on just being another form of toxicity. If this were a break room at work I'd much rather sit and listen to the guy talking about whatever silly LED setup he has and how he started streaming his favorite games than sit at the table where some of this thread's conversation has gone.

There is an incredibly shitty part of the "gaming" fandom (and a lot of fandoms in general) that need to be rooted out, but its important to take a step back and remind ourselves not to be shitty to other people for something as simple as some LEDs on their keyboard or the use of a word that gets overused as a marketing buzzword to describe their hobby.

I suspect this will fall into the same category as doing a Persona Endurance run again. People will ask about it too much to a point of it wearing the fun out and they'll eventually find that its unlikely to capture their same interest as much as it did the first time around.

I hope they do it, to be honest, I liked Super a lot as a weird fan service series of DB that tickled that nostalgic feeling. With some of the weirder stuff in there I'd love to hear their reaction, but I'd be very surprised if they ever did it though. Seems much more likely that if they wanted more Dragonball they probably pursued it on their own already.

Started playing this game last week and enjoying it a ton. Probably the most into a game I've been all year so far.

Got my first full clear this morning on my 14th attempt in 36 minutes. I was just using whatever weapon was set to give me bonus darkness, so I was running Spear in this case. Built up Vicious skewer, chain skewer, and thunder flourish in addition to having Hermes for 2 extra dashes, athena for deflecting dashes and that revenge ability that triggers deflect. Also had a Chaos boon that boosted my cast damage which was nice but would have preferred something else I think.

Most of my strategy was tossing my spear and letting it bounce around. I had a Hermes boost that also boosted my special speed so I could spam special pretty fast. Overall not sure what constitutes a good build or not but this one felt far easier than any of my previous runs. Looking forward to trying more as I go.
