I have played a small portion of Ocarina of Time as a kid. My cousins had it for N64. I also did try Link's Awakening on the Switch and enjoyed it. I'm most curious about Wind Waker, that just looks like a really enjoyable time.
That reminds me, I really need to try Link to the Past on the SNES service.
@bigsocrates: I think you're spot on with the Zelda collection. I really hope it's legit and soon. As somebody who didn't grow up playing any Zelda games I am totally psyched to jump in. I LOVED Breath of the Wild.
Just curious what everyone else is hoping for since it's been so long since a full Direct. I've been enjoying my Switch a ton lately and really excited for tomorrow's presentation.
Great write up of your thoughts on Bowser's Fury. It's been great to read your takes on a lot of stuff lately @bigsocrates.
I am psyched to play both this and Mario 3D World. I haven't really had a Nintendo console since the N64 so I've missed out on a ton of the charm and fun that Nintendo puts into their games.
It's been great to replay all these "new" (to me) games on the Switch. Honestly, that little system is getting so much playtime this year over my PS4. I forgot just how fun Nintendo games are and the mechanics/feel are always spot on.
At this point, I could see myself holding off longer on a PS5 and just enjoying the Switch as more games (hopefully) come out this year.
@bigsocrates: Thank you for the response. Definitely appreciate it. There's something about just checking off things to unlock that just clicks with me, which I'm thinking might be enough to keep playing through WoL and whatever other single player content there is.
I'm also kind of curious about the challenge modes too. Sounds like a neat diversion at times.
@mezza: Good to hear. Hoping maybe I can convince my wife to give the game a shot. She's not a huge "gamer" but she does like Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros. in general.
So I've been thinking about picking up Smash Ultimate for a while. I'll be honest, the last time I played Smash was the original on 64 back when it came out.
The idea of going through World of Light and unlocking the characters/spirits sounds like a decent amount of fun to me. I recently went through all of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and did something similar racing alone to get all the carts/wheels, etc.
I don't really have anyone to play against in the game, so I'd be mostly going alone with this thing. Is it still worth jumping in if competitive play isn't really an option?
