@rdfed: Yeah, it's amazing what spending a few minutes going over it will do. I spent 30 minutes on one turn until I saw a way through it without losing anyone.
@bisonhero: Agreed; FTL's final boss requires such specific upgrades it punishes most weird randomized builds. Luckily, Into the Breach has none of that bullshit. The final boss feels a tad easier than the 4th island, and good 70% of the game felt doable if you spend 15 minutes staring at the map and wondering "How the hell do I survive this turn?"
@slag: I think Zeboyd Games is doing well enough; judging by their recent polls on Twitter, it sounds like they're prepping to make a new game. Sure, they're not making the List of Top Sellers on Steam, but it also seems like they aren't starving or mortgaging their houses.
Gotta love someone who namedrops Shatter's soundtrack.
Also, I'm surprised you chose Kugane Castle to sample FF14's soundtrack and not The Worm's Tail, the epic second-half of the final boss fight. Although maybe you did that to avoid spoilers. Or even Lakshmi's Theme, an upbeat Indian boss fight theme with some disturbing undertones if you listen to the lyrics. Neither of them quite reach the level of Woe That is Madness, but they come close.
@ripelivejam: Hey, that wildlife would murder the fuck out of each other too. At least we're murdering them for meat rather than the usual "Kill 6 cougars for a wallet".
