Atlus are excellent if you're into what they release, but Rockstar almost have a golden touch.

@nail1080: [replying so the thread doesn't turn into myriad quoteblocks] In order of appearance: I didn't say the ER should be lock, I said I'm surprised that it wasn't; I realised before I posted that this stuff attracted new members because it attracted me to the site, and the reason I included that in my post was so I could be at least a little impartial (rather than saying lol u dont pay what wrong u); I'm not bullshitting myself, I'm just saying 'this is what I think' on a public forum. Honestly, what's with the being needlessly antagonistic and swearing and stuff? If all else fails, it's fine to just disagree with me!

Also to whoever it was (I apologise! I'm really tired and don't want to dig through the thread) who mentioned the Yogscast guys as an example of a way to run a website and spoke about 'knowing business' or whatever, I'm a fan of theirs and I know Simon said donations were all that were keeping him making the rent, so it's not all sugar and rainbows!

@CaptainCody: It's obviously not all post-production work that they do, though, isn't it? I mean, there's production itself, yada yada yada, level with me... I obviously don't know your level of experience/expertise within the field, but producing this much media (especially video) really is enough work for a small office of people to do and still enjoy themselves a little. That's not a crime, that's success!

@CaptainCody: Easy response: let's see you do the same, then! Judging by the sheer volume of loyalty in this thread, the world needs more Giant Bombs!

Hard-mode 'please entertain this properly' response: it's difficult to overstate just how difficult audio/video post-production actually is, and while I obviously don't know what the whiskey guys get up to in the office, anybody who's done anything to do with digital media knows it's an indisputably time consuming process to actually produce content (even if you want to be silly and summarise the process as 'sitting down playing videogames').

I feel like this site almost gives non-subscribers too much, to be honest, and I say that as an aforementioned non-subscriber. I'm still shocked the ERs aren't behind the paywall (saying that, I think the Persona one attracted a lot of people to the site, so maybe that's not a fantastic idea!),

See you just fucked yourself over there. "I'm still shocked the ERs aren't behind the paywall".....and then you realise that things like this actually attract new users to the site. These are the kind of points the OP is making and people like you are disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing. There is an air of arrogance about certain people in this thread, who think their opinion is gold and everyone else's is shit.

I wouldn't go as far as to say I 'fucked myself over', and I'm not disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing, I'm just saying I'm astounded how much these guys sweat to put out for free. I don't really even see how I'm being arrogant when I'm going so far as to, er, 'fuck myself over' or whatevs. Please remain calm on the internet. Please. Please.

Is it weird that, as a lurker, I feel less comfortable posting on a very informal forum than I do showing members of that forum my desktop? Yes.

I feel like this site almost gives non-subscribers too much, to be honest, and I say that as an aforementioned non-subscriber. I'm still shocked the ERs aren't behind the paywall (saying that, I think the Persona one attracted a lot of people to the site, so maybe that's not a fantastic idea!), and the only thing that really makes me want to pay is my conscience, not locked-off content, so I'd say these guys are certainly doing their job properly.

Also 'if you don't like this thread move on / don't read it' is such a weak thing to say; I, too, wish for a universe where everyone who does not share my opinion is cheerfully absent!

Just watched the first episode, and I really enjoyed it; agree with @ashogo in regards to it being a little crammed with content from the game, but considering the mess that was P3: Trinity Soul, it's definitely reassuring. Found it hard not to do a little list pump when I saw the day and weather change slide come up, so yeah, whatever. It's entirely possible I have pretty low standards, but I'm not that surprised or disappointed the first episode is a bit of a cram, and if that means they'll be able to breathe a little easier in later episodes, I think it's a fair enough trade.

@Bocam: that sort of thing never bodes well; hope it doesn't go down the drain because of some office tyrants, because that would be a shame. ):

Completed the survey. I said I was from Bournemouth, but if you guys do ever come to the UK and do an event, London or Birmingham are the big convention centres (and the only ones really worth doing anything at, on account of their central-ish locations). Tally ho!

Definitely prefer original pieces, especially if they can get Shoji Meguro and the Blazblue composer (I think his name is Daisuke Ishiwatari?) to collaborate.

Absolutely, both Ishiwatari and Meguro are exceptionally talented and, while they work in different styles, any collaboration would be a dream come true.
