Better late than never eh? Well at least on the DS version of this game it is fairly close to standard SimCity fare as far as I have seen however it does "travel through time" so to speak so that you might start in a hunter gather society and your city updates as time and discovery wears on.

While patching costs probably don't need to be in the tens of thousands this guy should own up to the fact he released an unfinished game or perhaps he should of released a non buggy patch. He can shift blame all he wants but it's him and his company 100% responsible for this mess.

I tend to avoid releases on XBLIG due to the lack of achievements.

@oulzac: Depends on the map, the one I'm on I have found good amounts of gold and diamond right on the bedrock level. But on other maps and as people have suggested 12 blocks up from bedrock, give or take is where you are like to have good luck. When in doubt just keep digging, but of course there are better methods than others. For instance you can drill holes every third block (ie XOOXOOX with x being a hole) it gives you greater coverage to find potential goodies while limiting how much you need to digg out.

I had a problem like that on my original first gen unit. I would hit eject and it would pop out a fraction of an inch and then retreat. At first it was just once in a while and might only require the occasional fiddling with the console but I quickly learned that with it in a horizontal position and exhibiting said behavior, the best remedy was a quick sharp closed fist bump to the top of the console above the drive: immediately after hitting the eject button. This method worked for me for some time, however the console would increasingly mistake game discs for DVDs, as in "Please insert this disc into an Xbox 360 Console" and that was not a problem smacking it could fix.

I'd be curious to see how it would look using today's technology, perhaps for a small XBLA/PSN game.

Yeah I was just thinking modern graphics mode 7 style would be sweet, but I'm wondering if there are any examples of mode 7 or something like it from something strong with 2d, like the Saturn? I'd like to see what could be done with a bigger palette if nothing else.

It's possible to get 1000/1000 on this game in a day and really it's more tedious than challenging. Minigames are fun shame there wasn't more variety/games.

Anyone know if there is any talk of getting this thing running on a standard PC yet?
