@elby: Just talking about it when and where you can still helps. I stopped giving Blizzard money after the Blitzchung incident, so I can't give them any less. I can, however, let anyone I know who does give them money know what's going on if they don't know already.

Earlier today, I sent an email about this to the one friend I have who still subscribes to WoW. He just emailed me back saying he and his wife have now canceled their subs. For reference, he's center-right politically and was gushing to me about new WoW lore as recently as a week ago. I never would've expected him to actually boycott a company in this situation, but he has, and I'm glad.

I'm gonna miss you, Abby! You brought a youthful energy to Giant Bomb that helped remind everyone that games are for everyone and people are discovering them every day. Best wishes!

I'm mostly glad that this didn't turn out to be a pirate themed expansion like many thought/feared. Patches didn't need to be even more in charge of Standard.

I primarily play warlock, so seeing Rin already kills a chunk of my excitement for the set. The light D&D theme and the possibility of Recruit being busted kill the rest. I'll likely be employed again by the time this comes out; good or bad the set probably won't matter to me much by then.

Thinking about all the game music I've enjoyed over the years, I can't think of any final boss music that sticks out to me over all the other tracks in any given game. Thinking about all the music I like that happens to be the final boss track, however, leaves me with a tie between. . .

Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow. . .

and Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Right now, I'd put myself at a 7. I'm winding down on Breath of the Wild and bouncing between Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment and Yooka-Laylee. A few weeks ago, I'd be at an 8 just from Zelda.

I've been cruising on Nintendo and the occasional indie game for a while now. I don't own a PS4 (the only other system with exclusives I'm interested in) and my income a 1/3rd less what it was a year ago. Add in some "figuring out life" stuff and a lack of friends who keep up with the industry, and my overall game focus isn't as high as I'd like.

I was lucky enough to get one on launch day, but I never got a second controller. (GameStop didn't have them on launch.) That's a big part of my frustration with this news now. I know there are tons of other options for controllers (and I have a Wii Classic Controller), but dang it, I wanted the thing to be "complete" with an authentic second controller. :/

I preordered a Switch and a regular copy of Breath of the Wild about an hour ago, then I came home and preordered a Special Edition of BotW from Amazon.UK. ("Yay!" for region-free!) I'm not sure what I'll do with my extra copy of the game. I'll have to open my NA copy if I want to play on Day 1, but the PAL copy may be a small annoyance to offload.

I have some concerns about using the controller halves for multiplayer (the stick position on the plus half looks like a pain), but I don't see myself playing this on the go with others so it's fine. And if it supports the Wii U Pro Controller, then I'm good for multiplayer at home.

The games in this trailer got me as stoked as the concept and controller. A new Mario with the 3D World engine? Yes, please! Getting to play Nintendo's traditionally portable titles on the big screen? I'm in! And I'm not big on Skyrim, but it does make me wonder who else is switching their view on Nintendo support.

I uploaded the finale of my first world several weeks ago, but I wanted to play a few more community levels before posting again.

Mountain Land 1-4 -- 1881-0000-0169-CBF5

Mario has discovered Bowser Jr.'s plot. That rotten brat is melting Mt. Tan's icy peak to flush the ore out of its mines and flood Mountain Land in the process! Stowed away in an airship cargo hold, Mario must catch up to Bowser Jr.'s flagship before he gets away with King Kragg's magic wand, Mt. Tan's precious resources, and the destruction of Mountain Land!

I really like how this level turned out. When I planned Mountain Land, I knew from the beginning I wanted it to end with an airship featuring a progression of elements from each of the other levels. Remember everything you've learned to this point and stop Bowser Jr.!

This will likely be my last post on this thread. With the Bookmark site out, posting individual level updates here feels unnecessary. And with so many duders putting out levels now, Miiverse seems like a better avenue to let individual makers know that I dig their stuff.

I don't plan to stop making (or playing) levels anytime soon, though, so if you like them please check my profile every so often! (There are two more up right now!)
