@geitnerbahn: Cute level! I especially liked stealing the last piece of "candy."

@johnbon:I like the idea of using Koopa Troopa shells to get at necessary stars, and the star runs themselves are satisfying. There's an issue with the first star, though. Depending on where it's kicked, the shell can wind up in a loop that will never hit the ? block. It can be stopped, but doing so is very difficult. I also once accidentally kicked a shell from one of the two previous Koopa Troopas that sprung over the hard blocks, killed the Koopa Troopa next to the star, then settled into the previously mentioned loop.

@supergary: My merely mortal fingers simply cannot do what's necessary to get the fifth POW Block. Unless I'm missing something, the idea is to 1) grab the fourth POW Block, 2) run across the first falling platform, 3) turn around as you step onto the second falling platform to set down the POW Block on the only part of the platform with nothing under it, 4) get the fifth POW Block by jumping through the one tile of space that doesn't result in either hitting the spike trap or hitting the POW Block from below, and 5) adjust your fall accordingly for the Firebars, right?

@somethingodd: I played and enjoyed them all. Fire wall and Mario's Super Diving Adventures were my favorites, with The Littlest Airship getting a nod for being so silly.

@turtlebird95: I haven't played MMX in far too long, so I can't speak to the accuracy of the recreation. I still had a hoot, though! Fair and fun is how it's done!

I was going to hold off on uploading levels until after the patch, but I suppose I can toss up my initial version of this one:

Burning Spirit Donut Castle -- C4C0-0000-00CE-8214

Donuts may be an essential part of a balanced breakfast, but the best part of waking up is spooky lava in your cup! Boos have invaded the red hot depths of this of sweltering castle, drawn in by the sweet, sweet taste of freshly baked (and ever regenerating!) Donut Blocks. Watch out, though! A certain other ravenous rascal lurks within, and he's hankering for a big bite of plumber!

Try this version while it lasts. I will replace it with an update after the patch.

Updated! The new code is 213E-0000-00DB-E3DE.

I hope we can add more than one checkpoint in a level. I'd like to add one after each section of my Unprofessional Friday level.

I'm super stoked about getting to make proper power-up blocks. Trying to build a Nintendo-like level without them was difficult without either abandoning the fun power-ups or risking damage boost abuse.

I've uploaded my first ghost house. It's more like a dungeon in that it's straight-forward and ends in a boss fight.

Kamek's Overgrown Ghost House -- 0C67-0000-00BF-D053

Who should you call first? Ghostbusters or a gardener? Kamek's vacation retreat has become overgrown with ivy and overrun with g-g-g-ghosts! There doesn't seem to be any way out, but maybe that muddle-brained Magikoopa's absentmindedness can be exploited somehow.

And here's my first uploaded level that I neglected to mention when I posted before:

Potpourri -- 5E22-0000-0075-0BF0

What began as an attempt to make my own 1-1 for New Super Mario Bros. U became. . .something else. This level has a little bit of many things, from standard hopping and bopping to cloud riding to calculated hip drops.

I have an unexpected day off thanks to a flood advisory making commuting a questionable endeavor, so I may get around to playing some of the community's levels later today (if I don't float away >_> ).

@supergary: I played all of your courses, but I was only able to complete four. Most of my problems came down to claustrophobic paths (Beanstalk frolic, Everything will be vine?), busy layouts (Get shoe safety!), and fidgety elements (The ol' switcheroo, Buzzy the doorstop, I really need a P...switch). Additionally, variance and deceptive hazard hitboxes (aggravated by the path design) get in the way of your otherwise nifty ideas.

Plotting smoother difficulty ramps, giving players a little more breathing room, and better anticipating/mitigating element variance will make your levels less frustrating and help your designs shine.

I. . .I think I'm ready. Friends, Romans, and duders, I present to you:

Unprofessional Friday -- D66E-0000-00A2-48E6

Mario hits the bench while Drew flies a car, Brad checks in on DotA (we think), Dan proves he's not a baby, and Jeff embraces his nightmares. Why? Because in this level, every day is Friday.

I made this to be as fun to watch as it is to play (or maybe even more). So check it out with some friends, why not?

Full Disclosure: Austin's a sharp cookie.

I kinda feel bad for the Ouya team. It's one thing for a console to fail. It's another thing altogether to see enthusiastic people have their hopes dashed.

Amazing! Straight-forward, but thorough. The passion that compels you to write is palpable.

Burps and farts, eh? I might have to get behind this (though not downwind).

I can't be too bummed about this given there hasn't been enough about the game revealed to get me hyped.

Knocking off some people but keeping the brand. Gross.
