I was an angry dumbass when I was a teenager. But since I was too meek to take my anger out on the real world, I relegated myself to yelling and getting banned on video game forums. I still can't help but cringe every time I think about that phase in my life.
I can't quite remember how, but I stumbled upon the Hotspot one day and I was confused. I mean these guys were talking about video games; why weren't they at each other's throats with NPD numbers and review scores? It's because they were too busy talking about actual news, and more importantly, laughing. God, that laugh. After listening for a few months, I began to notice a change in how I thought, not only about video games, but about life in general. I was happier, and a bit more ready to take on whatever life would throw at me.
Ryan, along with the rest of the GS crew and later the GB crew, helped me see that being positive is always, always, always the better option.
Thanks, Ryan, for helping me become a better person.
