I feel like Dan brings the much needed drama and tension to this. Is the RNG going to let Dave walk out of there? Will he be wounded and revivable? Will he be killed outright? If he is revivable will he float off the map? Like this game is wonky in so many ways but I really like Dan's hard approach to it. I am not saying it's right or the better way to play. I am saying it makes the video series better and thus the entertainment better.
@fedallah: I don't think so. Vinny is very good at pointing it out. Dan might have even gotten that prompt before, I know this isn't the first time they have seen it in the series.
@mjbrune: Luckily it should only take 1-2 hours to get past where they ended. One playthrough just took me 2 hours. (There's a harder New Game+ mode.)
oh I unlocked nightmare in 2 hours as well. Nightmare seems to be additional story as well. A bit of a new game+ but also kind of different enough to count it as not really backtracking, specially with the branching paths which means 90% of the time you can be on another path. So I'm kind of playing new game+ while watching Vinny on the same level. I can't keep up though. Man this game is great.
I at first saw film and 40s and was like OH there is no way watching these movies even with GB is fun. Now it's like the perfect little thing on fridays to relax with. I'm so sad I didn't get into it sooner but was awesome going back and watching all the fast films. Can't be more excited for this one.

Everything I see about the CBSi building from these videos seems like everything there is incredibly wasteful and mostly unnecessary.

Right? I mean they are raffling a tesla or two off... Honestly CBSi seems like an amazing place to work for. I also feel like that sort of environment is also very awesome in these videos. Brings a lot to it when you can look at about every frame of this video and see something weird, odd, insane or corporate boring about CBSi.
A question for folks who know the game: what would have happened if Ben had gone on the alien ship instead of trying to come back home?
I believe that the Ben and Rorie who died are merely alien clones, and the real Sims Ben & Rorie are still flying the Milky Way in an alien craft. This is my headcanon.
That's probably the best spin off to this ever. Although sadly rorie wasn't on that ship.
