Well, it wasn't out when this thread was made, and it's not out now, but from what I can tell Nidhogg has some pretty sweet sword fighting mechanics. Can't wait to give it a go.

Yea, I mostly hang out with pretty nerdy guys though, but hey, it's kind of who I am, and in this day and age the only thing I do that's nerdy enough to raise a few eyebrows is play D&D. Also, no-one I know feels negatively towards playing video games, since everyone does it on their phone anyway, or has kids that do it, so they kind of get that someone could be really into them.

On the other hand, don't bring up voluntary martian habitation or cyborg limb replacements at family gatherings without expecting a few weird looks...

Generally someone from a recent book I've read who's character I think will work with what the video game character will be. Durzo was great for my Skyrim spellsword, I think I've had a few Rolands. Also, any detective (Can't remember any recently) is Elijah Bailey.

Chuck the aircon on (I live in Australia but my Dutch genes hate the heat), drag my mattress out right underneath it, make a cup of tea, and watch the LotR extended editions with cast commentary until I fall asleep.

I think the thing with Spyparty is that it needs DotA level balancing, this means lots of playtesting (Which he started on a public level quite late in development) and lots of iterations. Plus, the fairly recent new art basically meant rebalancing every aspect of the game to work with the new models. Also, he's making multiple levels, all of which need to be carefully adjusted to provide the fairest competition.

I'm not super fussed, I'm fairly confident he'll finish it, but even if he doesn't, I quite enjoy playing it the way it is at the moment.

Hard to remember, I suspect it may have been Lemmings on PC, or maybe TIM (The Incredible Machine).

In general, the rule I use is about 10%, with the obvious exceptions, wet weather, school zones, etc. As well as if your driving in the outback, where it's just go as fast as you want to while maintaining a reasonable level of safety.

I think some kind of first impressions for the first episode would be good, just so people get an idea of what they might be going in for. I think the full review should be saved for the completion of the season/series, mainly because the story component is best reviewed as a single unit rather than as 5 seperate entities (Assuming the story continues between each episode).

I've kind of gotten disappointingly hipster. But mainly, I've started appreciating other genres more and more, things like metal and hiphop that I tended to disregard without any thought I now at least give it a listen and try to judge it off its own merits rather than according to its genre.

8:45 PM, not playing per se, I'm watching the Brad and Ryan Deadly Premonition Endurance Run though. Glad they played it, since I never would :)
