Not sure I'd say "Scorpion's a "good guy" more anti-hero/neutral fighting for the better good than evil. He hates Raiden lol for a few reasons but seems to be not about "pure vengence" for once in his life.

Sub-Zero isn't confirmed to be Bi-Han, this is speculation. I think it's Kuai Liang he shows more mercy(which Bi-Han never did), Kuai Liang also says to Quan Chi- I'm not my brother! After QC said to him "your brother succumbed to his fate"....we all know only Noob/Bi Han did such and willingly.

Exactly, Kuai Liang used to be darker himself but the difference was he left the Lin Kuei once they started automating everyone, where as Bi-Han was loyal to a fault(before he got killed by Scorpion)

Plus Kuai Liang also I had a feeling did some bidding for Quan-Chi(in the comic it appears to be Kuai Liang restored) one of the Red Dragon grunt he uses says to him" I don't want any issues with Quan Chi man!, then says something about him working for Quan Chi" and Sub says "that's in the past" or something like that...before being loyal to Raiden.

To me more clues point to Sub-Zero in MK X being Kuai Liang than Bi-Han honestly, it would have to be a stretch for Bi-Han. He'd have to be lost after the soulnado, then someone would have had to restore him to his old self, then freed from someone's control apparently...

I just hope Ermac doesn't remain confused or boarderline evil with Kahn's soul in him trying to take over I'm sure, and of course him still having good souls with King Jerrod(Kitana's father) among others, would be interesting if Ermac was a key component to people being brought back, we know Quan Chi is, probably Raiden and the Elder Gods too I'm sure at some point are involved. Originally in Deception, Kenshi freed/helped Ermac from Shao Kahn's magic/hold over him. And even Scorpion can sense Shao Kahn within Ermac, since both are spectres more or less.

@mrfluke: That dude looks like it could possibly be Reptile or Chameleon but I'm not sure, his face is the same as MK 9 reptile's mask...

But also, Kittlesen the writer of MK X comic said in interview now too long ago there will be some characters in the book that don't make it in the game and vice versa...

@starvinggamer: lol not a gimmick the variations are a integral part of the gameplay and offer diversity and more options to the player's style. MK, SF and KOF have all done this before in previous games anyway...

They could take that path but doubtful, the comic MKX that's canon hints that if anything it is leaning more towards Kuai Liang(aka Tundra aka Second Younger Sub-Zero) but the one in the game has no scar on his face yet the one in the comic does so who knows...time will tell. Plus the in game voice leak of Sub-Zero vs. Quan-Chi, intros also hint this QC says "Your brother succumbed easily" Sub's responce "I'm not my brother!" Now, remember in MK 9 when Bi-Han aka Noob-Saibot later on fought Cyber Sub/Kuai Liang, he said "we share blood, but we are not brothers..."

Only Kuai Liang referred to Bi-Han as "his brother" of course there's still possibilities for a third brother or new relative or new Cyromancer all together...

lol Saturn version came afterwards that's why most forget about it, it wasn't bad but I was more so just pointing out the game of MKT rather than console differences lol I'd be here all day if I broke MKT differences for PS1, N64 and SS.

For those complaining, nobody is forcing ya to preorder. But why wouldn't you want to? lol even if Goro wasn't DLC with it? lol

@Hermes: Nah WB isn't close the worst, Activision is worse and the ultimate worst is Capcom! They're beyond greedy with making 10 versions of SF4 already and charging ridicuous money for DLC...WB is actually far better.

I've preordered but will say Goro is meh lol. Hope his spot doesn't take up Ermac, Reptile or someone cooler.

On that note: For those wondering, Goro has been in MK 1, MKT, MK 4/MKG, MK Deception, MKA and MK 9.

However, he hasn't been playable in every version:

MK1-not playable.

MKT-Playable(but only on the PS MKT version, not the N64 version)

MK4/MKG-Not playable.

MK Deception-Playable but only in the GC version, he wasn't in the other versions of MK D.

MKA-Playable(everyone was playable)

MK 9-Not playable(he was only playable in a mini mission via the Challenge Tower which doesn't really count) as a mainstream playable character he's not playable. The PC version you can play as him via a mod however.

Pictures of Kano looks pretty sweet, had no interest in him but I have to admit he looks cool.

His eye lasers btw, he had before Killer Instinct had a fatality in MK 3 with it and technically had the eye patch laser since MK1.

It's just for some reason not every MK game they give him moves with it. MK 1 and MK 3 didn't have any "actual moves" with it but a Fatality in Mk 3/UMK3. Wasn't in MK 2 or MK 4. MK DA he had one with it, wasn't in MK Deception. MKA he had an eye laser move, MK vs. DCU he had it, MK 9 he didn't have it. MK X he has it again. They like to switch it up with Kano.

I know it's 2 months later but just forgot about this site and others for a while. As a huge longtime MK fan, can answer a few questions and make a few statements as someone who also plays competitively.

-For the guys saying block is bad for MK, not at all..it fits perfectly and helps against that lame crossover crap you can abuse in SF, Injustice. Back to block works for those games, but leave that nonsense out of MK please. MK was the first fighter to have a block button and it should forever remain that way just as holding back to block should for SF...period.

-The Sub-Zero comments, it's NOT the same Sub-Zero willing to bet. It's probably a relative of Bi-Han and Kuai Liang OR just another Cyromancer who also represents the Lin Kuei (if not related to the former Sub-Zero's) than he's just a new cyronmancer that's apparently the new Grand Master of the Lin Kuei as he has the medallion in one of his costumes/variations.

-MK can be and has been played at high level regardless of what block is, I've done so tons of times online and offline plus just look up Evo among many MLG events that had the game. But I suppose block button isn't for everyone.

MK's story has always been awesome, so can't complain there. At least it has a story compared to other fighters that have little to none or if one usually crappy compared to MK's.

MK X will be a great fighting game, probably better than MK 9 was which was a great game in it's own right.

Ok, guys I haven't been posting as much lately on here since I've been in love with MK haha. 
 
But remember playing in the Giantbomb room, doing well having fun and people in there were pretty nice. With the comments, props, respect etc

Trust me, the more you play, practice and lose the  better you become by playing other good players since you do learn from it. 
 
I'm also newer to the offline competitive gig, but so far have won two local tournaments since MK9 came out. A gamestop one and gamechamp one(that one had money prizes so it was good with 10 venue fee). I know all those guys mentioned from TYM, some personally or played online. It is a great site for the "hardcore" mechanics and nooks and crannies of the game. 
 
At any rate, if you play online, offline (I play on Xbox) but you can post PSN too and are a more competitive player. Please post here. 
 
NOTE: This is not like the Xbox and PSN community threads, this is for strickly players who play MK at a higher level or are competitive or like to play more competitive players. 
 
I remember playing some people from this site, but can't remember the names. I use Ermac, Sektor, Scorpion, Smoke, Raiden, Kenshi, Rain and Kabal. I never use Rain because online play messes his combos up. 
 
So, who else here likes to play MK more competitively? 

Nice, I played in your giantbomb room once or twice month back or so. Had a blast :) some might remember me, I'm GT MKF30 same as on here very competitive player :)
