MKSKILLZ16: Best of 2010

List items

  • Only here because I want it to get some points, plus the characters had amazing chemistry, and the ending left me wanting more. The soundtrack was pretty decent and the conclusion was a bit twisted and breath-taking at the same time.

  • By far possesses the greatest cast of characters and moral challenging decision making. Every character has something to offer story and gameplay-wise, but the giant story arc of Shepard and the universe he/she inhabits is enthralling.

  • Reason I bought a PS3, and enjoyed every minute of brutality, very cathartic. Kratos' finale was every bit as satisfying as I'd hoped, and I lament that the trilogy ends on the PS3 where the series could really extend itself further.

  • Fresh setting, amazing voice acting, and awesome ending. Committing atrocities for the purposes of getting John's life back together were great fun, and a special mention of Dutch as being a tragic jerk who stole the scenes he was in.

  • First fighting game I've played earnestly in a long time, loved the visuals and atmosphere of watching tournament streams (finally understanding the strategy of a fighting game).

  • Unbridled sense of speed, popping visuals, and a soundtrack that's pretty ok. Plus the feel and sound during gameplay make this a racing game that's hard to play with headphones on.

  • While I didn't particularly "like" this game, it had a really powerful affect on me. I felt dread seeping from every decaying hallway, and the tragic nature of the setting still thrived. This game through its characters and sound actually freaked me out, making me unable to go for a second playthrough, and a memorable experience overall.

  • The visuals and the sense of wonder while climbing about the environment really made this stand out. Playing this in a dark room with the sound bumped up made for an engrossing experience that is unique and slightly disturbing.

  • Got all of the achievements in this game, enjoyed the dialogue and absurdity of the entire game. Don't play RPG's that much, so this was a nice basic level game that I could sink some time into (if only HotHead finished that Penny Arcade series).

  • It's Halo, it has jetpacks, and this was amoung my favourite sci-fi stories in a while. Characters and plot rewarded the player throughout with memorable deaths and conclusion.
