I don't know, I find the create-your-own-content games to be interesting, but in the end, if the game requires me to make my own content to have fun, I tend to get bored quickly.

After a long day at work, it's so much easier to sit down with a game that spoon-feeds you it's own content, after all - Procrastination is these games' worst enemy! ;)

@Spookie:  There's a good reason why there are so few people playing APB on steam though - most people (like myself) can't start the APB Launcher from inside steam.

It's not a bad game, but you have to keep in mind that it's not for everyone, and like all shooters (though don't take that classification verbatim), there are some frustrating moments.

@CL60: All character and weapon upgrades have had their effects halved, also all(?) slotted weapons and vehicles are now open to everyone through progression with the factions, there's a lot less emphasis on being amazing/cheating enough to top the League-boards. Matchmaking is a bit rocky - and is probably the game's largest problem - districts (instances) of 80 players just doesn't have the granularity to always match you against "equal" opponents.

Personally, I'm having a lot of fun, and you just can't place enough praise on the customization.
Finding a relatively regular crew (of people who are able to communicate and react to suggestions) to play with is very helpful to make the game enjoyable, though, as playing alone with some of the people who just mill around randomly is rather taxing for your sanity :)

I've been pretty negative about this from the start, and it has had nothing to do with the genre-leap...

That said, the information they actually put out during E3 seems to contradict a lot of the early information (such as you playing as an FBI agent?).
Ultimately, this new information settles a lot of worries for me, there's some sort of research (though looks heavily Bioshock inspired), there's team selection, and hopefully the ink blobs are just the "first of many" alien types we'll encounter.

However... the UFO... really not impressed. Looks to me like they ran out of time trying to get this demo ready (though I guess they were visible in the first screenshots as well?), threw up some geometrical shapes and added some morphing and particle effects.
I'll admit there's a hint of 2001: A Space Odyssey in the geometrical shapes, but I don't like it.

Still, I might come around, it's still early, and there's apparently a lot of information they still haven't shared. Besides, I hated the idea of it not that long ago ;)

Never really got into LBP(1), but this looks pretty impressive.
