Wait for the original to come out on 3DS. Dark Moon is suppose to be quite good on its own, but I remember looking at footage for it and thought the enemy design wasn’t as inspired as the original, where you are capturing actual ghosts of former humans. One of the bosses is a Ghost Baby!

@nicksmi56: The button layout for the joycons feel more nature to the game's controls than a keyboard layout would. Its easier to land certain attacks using joycons such as Lilac's divekicks, which were almost impossible on the keyboard. Also Carol is a lot more fun to play on Switch than on the Mac Keyboard (it was kind of a nightmare with her on keyboard honestly). I haven't played as Milla yet, but I bet she'll feel just like a Super Mario Brothers 2 character on a Nintendo platform.

RIP Burt. This is news I haven’t heard until now and that’s very unfortune. The man was a great actor. My dad actually was in 2 brief scenes In one of his movies, Stroker Ace.

Oh boy there is a crap ton of stuff I'm playing on Switch right now:

  • Dead Cells: Still really like it, now getting used to parries and like the mutation where parries give you a percentage of health back. I need to beat the Ossuary elite to get the ground pound rune though.
  • Hollow Knight: Gorgeous game with lovely presentation. Like how combat works and the layers of strategy you can use for your soul is neat whether you want to heal or use it as a powerful projectile attack. Onto the mushroom world and the mantis enemies are killing. Having to backtrack from the last resting place to where you died is a bit of a pain, but the game seems to encourage open exploration. Still this game is super well made.
  • Freedom Planet: I've talked about this game countless times before, so I'll keep it short and say this game plays better on the Switch than it does on the Mac.
  • Into The Breach: This is a great strategy game. The fact that you have a set number of turns and your primary objective is to defend buildings from being destroyed by the Vek rather than killing all the enemies (those are side objectives) is really cool. Other side objectives might be to defend coal plants or electric plants into order to get more power. The leveling up is nice but also requires a lot of thought as to how exactly you want to improve your mechs such as thinking one mech needs more health or should you heighten the attack strength of another mech? Playing through witht he Rustling Hulks and they have been awesome for cancelling attacks and pushing enemies out of the way. THinking of just doing the final mission after beating 2 islands, which I did not expect the game to be so short, but the replay value could be to test these different mechs out and see what you like.

Nice review. If only you kept the mission complete music on throughout the hole review there. See what I did.

In all seriousness, probably will play this on my MAc or iPhone at some point.

Tomorrow Donut County will finally come out on PS4, STEAM (PC and Mac) and iOS systems tomorrow. Curious if anyone here is looking forward to buying Donut County and what system they'll be playing on. In case those don't know what this game is, its a physics-based puzzle game where you are a mischievous raccoon that controls a hole on the surface of the Earth. The hole moves around and has laying things like rocks or animals fall through is and the more items and animals that drop into it, the biggest the whole gets. Its like Katamari Damacy except instead of rolling a ball to collect different things to make it bigger, its a hole. Plus the hole can do different tricks such as using a snake tail to move devices on the map or fill the hole with water and provide the water to a thirsty bird. Here's both the trailer for the game and for those PS4 owners, a dynamic theme you can it.

Absolutely horrid news. Thoughts and prayers go out to those who were affected from this incident. Though for real something needs to be done with gun control in the USA. All these shootings shouldn’t be happening at such a frequent rate and we need to crack down on gun control to prevent anymore from happening.

This is looking really good! Twin Motorcycle blades and skateboarding on cyborg arms? This is looking delightfully silly.

So weirdly enough Nintendo launched a surprise indie stream to showcase some of the indie titles that are coming to the Switch from this summer to next year. This was actually quite a good showcase showing off some really solid looking new games as well as some ports. But let's be real here, the biggest announcement is that Windjammers 2 is officially being made, Which should arrive at some point next year! Of course the original Windjammers is coming to the Switch as well for those to finally try out the greatest of that game. But enough about Windjammers, here is the video of the showcase and other game announcements:
