Stockholm Syndrome Games

These are games that I enjoy immensely, but would never ever recommend to someone else (mainly because I consider them to be absolutely terrible)

  1. Flower, Sun and Rain

  For such an ugly and obtuse game, FSR is goddamn intriguing - the stereotypical Suda51 game, perhaps?

  2. Back to the Future Part III

  One of the first games I ever played. Brutally difficult for stupid reasons.

  3. Earth Defense Force 2017

  You shoot massive insects for reasons unknown. Consistently dumb, janky and ill-conceived. Redeeming features: BUGS!

  4. Takeshi no Chousenjou

  So this one's a little strange - according to Taito, most of the concepts in this game were devised by an extremely drunk Takeshi Kitano during a meeting to discuss the design of the game. For some reason, the game designers chose to include all of Takeshi-san's ideas, and thus created sadism in videogame form. This one is worth at least reading about, even if you never play it.
