I thought the between mission parts would be like Wing Commander! That is just awesome. Also, more VLOGS would be nice, not only from Brad, but everyone. Jeff needs to do points reports again.
people may be used to it, but the multiplayer is so singular in it's focus that you can get up to speed pretty quick. I just started playing it last month and i'm not nearly as terrible as i was when i started
@LiveorDie1212: That wasn't exactly what i'd call a long article. And aren't all games potentially shitty? why did you even post? why am i even posting?
I also think that giving Bioshock multiplayer the COD4 style treatment sounds pretty interesting. It seems that a lot of the plasmids would work pretty nicely as perks. Who knows if that's how it'll work, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I don't know why people hate so much before it happens, like it's a sin to add multiplayer to a series like Bioshock. Sure games like Metroid Prime 2 don't provide great track records, but if you ask me it's innocent 'til proven guilty.
"It's pretty pathetic that they left the save points on the PC version when we already have a menu and quick save."
Dude YES! It screams "We care way more about consoles, maybe the PC people won't notice our laziness". Because of that I've been trying to only use save points and safe houses to save since that's obviously what they intended. Also, no prone or lean? I have thrown grenades at a few walls because of no lean. Can't even set the mode of fire on a gun from what I can tell so far. There's a couple other things missing that I was hoping they would add since this is Far Cry (tagging enemies for instance), the new setting is cool at least. Otherwise I am enjoying myself so far. Mainly, I just find it annoying that this was at one time announced as a PC exclusive, yet it was obviously designed as a console game first and a PC game second. Sad sad sad.
Yeah, it could possibly be best game for PC at this point. GTA and MGS seem to have insurmountable leads in the hunt for game of the year.

"It could be a contender, but I wouldn't say it's particularly unique - there seem to be about 20-30 FPS games on the horizon. "
And there may be many FPS games coming this year, but to say that this one doesn't look particularly unique seems a little odd to me. The promised dynamic story as well as the 12 selectable characters alone make it stand out from the rest.
