Steamworld is an e-shop title, yes. And there is a quick look if you want to see some gameplay. It's a 6-7 hour game(at least for me it was) so it's not a large investment.

The end chapter is the same as the DS I think, but there is now an epilogue, where you deal with the aftermath of the main game.

Yes, at half price later on. Still have Killzone 2 and 3 in my backlog so no rush(yes I buy all the games I might want to play later on)

SteamWorld Dig is a lot of fun unless you play it like Brad does(him being so terrified of dying and losing some money that he restarts the game every time) Other than that I see you already have Etrian 4, SMT 4 and Fire emblem on your list.

I also enjoyed Soul Hackers, Devil Survivor Overclocked and Theatrythm =)
