Favourite Games of All Time

I tried to rank these but realised I honestly can't, so here are my favourite randomly ordered games of all time.

List items

  • I remember playing the original Warcraft during my first endeavours into PC gaming. I remember loving it. Now I look back and think to myself "How could a Warcraft game ever be so primative?". This was a landmark game in an already saturated PC genre when it was released. An Extensive and involving single player campaign spanning four different races coupled with a simply brilliant multiplayer experience made me invest far too many hours into this game.

And the Expansion wasn't terrible either.

  • Completely over-looked by most when it was released, this often dismissed Diablo clone by Westwood Studios managed to catch my eye on launch and end up being one of my most beloved games, far surpassing any liking I might of had for the previously mentioned Diablo series it obviously draws influences from. Having played and completed the singleplayer with all 3 classes numerous times even dispite it's relatively linear gameplay (as well as the awesomely fun but now largely defunkted multiplayer),I find that this game cast a spell on me that hasn't faded well over a decade later.

  • There have only really been two Total War games I've truelly loved. Shogun: Total War will always have a place in my heart, but Rome: Total War is the ruler of the franchise. And when I got bored with the pushover AI there were some wonderful community mods to play, making this a long-term love.

  • As much as I respect the GTA series, I'd pick Mafia over any GTA game in a heart-beat. Sure it may have ripped off scenes from just about every mafia movie ever made, but try to explain to me how that is a bad thing. With gameplay that makes you feel like a one man killing machine in an enriched and satisfying 1930s mobster setting, It's obvious to me why I love this game so much.

  • Imagine a comprehensive Master's of Orion: Star Wars Mod and your not far from Star Wars: Supremacy (a.k.a. Rebellion). Recruiting upto 30 different hero characters for either side was just one of the awesome things I loved about this game.
