Well, I mean it depends. If we're talking the "universe" they take place in. Then Silent Hill; as far as I know (which isn't much admittedly) the threat in Silent Hill is small scale, one or more places in the otherwise safe world, focused on screwing with bad people. The odds of ending up where the "action" is seem pretty low. Resident Evil universe is one failed protagonist away from the apocalypse. Constantly.

On the other paw, if we're talking under the assumption you have to go where the action is? Silent Hill. I'm going to die either way, and I'm already fascinated with my own not quite right (I have a history) noggin. I might as well learn something terrible and terribly interesting as I die.

This whole music thing has been another one of those moments where I shake my head, mutter "I hate you Dan Ryckert", and then move on. In the end, I really don't hate him for long, but I've hated him briefly many times. In the end though, his enthusiasm and love for certain dumb things I also enjoy bring me back. Watching Game Informer Super Replays will show you what I mean. He didn't become this way suddenly when he came to GB.

@aetheldod: It certainly can be, but they're talking about big cities. In the forgotten little town I live in, we rent a small 2 & 1/2 bedroom house for 625 a month. More on topic, my old home town of Rochester, NY was pretty accepting overall, and the many small towns/suburbs surrounding it weren't too expensive. New York state in general is pretty accepting as long as you're outside the REALLY small towns in the ass end of the upstate region.

I like the wrestling references, but that's just me. It is nice to see someone balance Jeff's boundless crotchetiness.

I second the idea that it's good to have someone around with good taste. I mean, Jeff wouldn't shut up about Trackmania for awhile, his opinion has always been suspect.
