Had about 24 days playing time on Cod4 , would play it almost every day at one point. Nothing now, realised that multiplayer annoyed me too much, and wasn't worth it. Didn't play any of the CoD games after that. Will jump into Fifa a bit now. Oh, and played terrible Jailbreak servers in counterstrike for a time.

Was on Cracked a few weeks back and there was an article along the lines of "6 reasons video games are doomed". Basically every entry included a terrible piece of misinformation, including calling the new kinect a "spy camera with no off button". One of the highest rated comments was "no way i am having that in my house with how easy it is to hack into webcams".

Apart from that you overhear the most ridiculous advice in the gym all the time.

Don't believe there is one anywhere near me, if at all in my country. There used to be this "4D" screen a few hours away, it was part of this centre that you'd go to on school trips and such. Was only about 20 seats, and they only had 15 minute specially made reels to show. Was kinda what I assume Dbox is like, except you'd get sprayed with mist, wind would blow throught etc where appropriate. Was pretty cool as a 10 year old.

Depends what goes up. In the first steam sale after I got a usable pc, I spent 100+, then went on to spend about 300-400£ that year, on almost 200 games, picked 21-30 this year cause I have (and obviously have not played) most everything interesting.

Went to buy Borderlands 2 there, but it's £8.99 in the UK, would much rather get Rogue Legacy on steam for around that price. Apparently its 400MS points on the Hungarian XBL, as are many of the sale games, so you can do the usual workaround to get those.

@darji said:

I call bullshit. They never admitted any fault and still try lie their asses off. How can anyone trust this company anymore? Also this:

Finally, Whitten could not give any reassurance that Microsoft will not change its policies in the future.

SO they will wait 1 or 2 years and they will try it again.... No MS your BS talk lost me totally.

Of course Whitten doesn't have the power to say "we will never try anything like this again", why would he say that?

Makes so much more sense to leave it open, and they can develop in the future when people are ready for it. Sony didn't say that they would NEVER change any of their polices.

I'll never understand why people love stagnation so much.

Yes, was watching a guy I lived with play Red Dead, and when the first cutscene came up he scoffed "haha, cutscenes, I didn't evenwatch them in Halo", and skipped it.

He moved out shortly after.

So Microsoft are keeping everything the same, and Sony are keeping things the same, but making you pay for online multiplayer?

Yeah, really looks like Sony got one over on them there, so proactive.

Sarcasm aside I think this is a step back, they'd planned and set up all this infrastructure for a reason, would've liked to see where it went. If it turned out to get in the way of me playing games then I'd just not buy the console. We are just stagnating now. Lets keep discs because we are used to them.
