It's amazing the amount of energy being wasted on a game this bland.

Yikes.

This review sounds exactly like it came from the core of my brain. I am 20 hours in and have all the same feelings. It shouldn't work, it has issues, it's not the best game or even one of the best but I can't stop pushing on to the next planet to see what's there.

I won't use the term emergent gameplay because I don't think it's exactly apt but there are moments that happen when you're down on the planet that an unintended story develops. In a Minecraft sort-of-way you have all the right events unfold that leads to something the developers never could have dreamed up.

It might not be the perfect video game but it keeps taking me to places I want to go.

I love this. I wish there could be something similar every Friday. GBE has really hit their stride and I look forward to their stuff more than any other GB content in a while.

The Siege talk is extremely disappointing. Not because of opinions but because of the total disregard for the game as a game. I've never run into peer pressure about renown boosters and the game has skins in the same way dota has skins. You can buy the skins with real money if you want but hey, at least in Siege you get to pick which skin you want.

Not to mention the DLC is free for everyone and purchasing a season pass just gets you the operators 1 week early.

Calling what is one of the best tactical FPS games to come out since Counter-Strike a "free to play $60" game is unreal.

That whole discussion felt like a giant emotional jerk with zero understanding of the game or anyone who has played it for more than 40 minutes in a Quick Look.

Giant Bomb is about personalities but part of the personalities are people who give games a fair shake and don't have emotionally charged opinions on things that they don't have the information on. The times they have talked about this game makes me furious because no one has exepressed an actual true understanding of the game, it's "microtransactions", it's gameplay, or the support the devs are giving to it.

I'd really like to know if anyone on GB has played more than an hour of the game.

I love GB but I also don't know how to communicate this disappointment without it coming off as angry because I guess I sort of am. I still love the guys and they're obviously on point more often than not but I just felt the need to say something.

Also, I know I've already made this point, but the termite charge didn't open the window? The TERMITE CHARGE didn't open the window?! I'm unreasonably angry about this.

Thermite.

dead in 6 months. content gating with f2p mechanics in a full priced game is absolutely ridiculous.

played about 10 hours in the beta, and oddly enough, just like battlefront, I feel I've seen everything the game has to offer.

Do you have the same problem with Call of Duty? This game gives you far more options to gain points for unlocks where you don't have to grind as much.
