There wasn't a whole lot at EA for me...everything they glossed over mega quick was way more interesting than the stuff they spent time on. Biggest headline from today is the timing...Titanfall and Battlefield a week apart? Seriously stepping on each other's toes there. Or are EA so adamant to have a competitor to Call of Duty that they're hedging bets in case one of those games doesn't hit their target date?
Quick plug: We got some discussion of that and first reactions to all the EA stuff on the Sushicast, which is up now in all the normal podcasty places.

Also, that Jose Mourinho stuff...the awkward celeb moments are coming strong and early this year...

Stan should have given you a stack of business cards and a compass when you bought the ship. So er...yeah, maybe your game is borked

I replayed the original on pc less than a year ago, so achievements were a bit of a factor in my decision to buy xbla. 360 controls work for the most part, only became an issue once or twice, but obviously pointing and clicking lends itself to a mouse. If you have no preference then I'd say go pc.

Heh, I didn't spot this, but I did spot that the sam & max idols outside the monkey head have been replaced with a (not-so)purple tentacle idol in the special edition. Hinting for a re-release of day of the tentacle anyone?

On xbla - controlwise I'd go for classic, I like seeing inventory and verbs on screen. Are these hidden on PC the same way?

However, I think the voice acting swings it for SE. For what they're charging, it's totally worth it, though I would entirely have paid twice as much for a full remake.

He hopes the game will lead to the movie? And presumably, Ghostbusters 3: The official game of the movie of the game of the movie series? Ah well, nothing Vintured, nothing gained.

I think you got 'at best' and 'at worst' the wrong way around in the summary there.

I'm not sure if my controllers' d-pads have got worse with time but they only respond right about 4 times in 5 for something like weapon selecting in gears, so SF is completely unplayable with them. I've switched to using left stick, which works okayish for some characters but pretty well limits selection.

For anyone who can't justify the cost of a stick, Mad Catz has a wired 360 gamepad that reviewed pretty well and the d-pad looks like a standard snes-like pad. I swore I'd never buy another cheap third-party controller, but I have to say I'm liking HD remix enough to consider picking one up.

I find that on Easy, the first match is always way easier than the rest of them. I've made it through three times now, two of which I only had to continue a couple of times. I agree that Bison seems less challenging than expected, Sagat seems like the big challenge.

At least part of the problem on 360 is that the controller simply isn't set up for a game like this. I'm hoping there's an affordable solution by the time IV hits, £40 seems to be the price of a Hori stick here in the UK and I'm having a hard time justifying the price of a full game on a controller I'd only use with two or three games.
