That Jackie Chan fighting game is the original version, where Jackie Chan was the boss and was unplayable. The update, Fists of Fire, is the one where you can be one of three versions of Jackie. And as much as they seem to be jokingly suggesting that the Lion was Jackie underneath, it actually is not! It was Sam Wong, one of his Stunt team leaders.

I think the big difference visually here compared to Octopath and Triangle Strategy is that there is significantly less bloom lighting. They went way overboard with that in those games.

So the whole "if you don't get your receipt you get it free" thing is probably to prevent a common form of employee stealing (less common now that people tend to use cards instead of cash)--the employee rings up your order but cancels it when you hand them the money and pocket it. The receipt only prints if the transaction is completed, and once there is a record of the transaction it's a lot harder for the employee to steal the money. If you didn't get your receipt and then tell the manager this, they know to check if that employee is pocketing the money. There are some other ways businesses attempt to curtail this (tracking each employee's number of cancelled transactions, requiring manager authorization to cancel, etc) and as cash becomes less frequently used this receipt method becomes less useful.

The reason I go see movies at the theater is because I know that the "no phones" rules are the only way I'll actually watch a movie and pay attention to it. I'm on Jeff's side of "if I'm here to watch a movie I'm here to watch a fucking movie, not some dipshit's performance" but otherwise I can't agree with his stance on just watching movies at home instead.

What's the point of picking Skip on passive items that have no drawback? Even if none of them help your current build, it didn't seem like there was a downside to picking one anyway, unlike with the symbols.
