After Arkham Knight, I thought I'd die a happy man if I've never encountered car combat ever again.
Avalanche may have just changed my mind.
Technically speaking, it's absolutely gorgeous. The gameplay also looks super solid thus far, especially with the Arkham combat thrown in the mix. Seems like WB is hoping for a sleeper hit, since the one thing they've gotten right this year is marketing (MKX is cool too), and there's barely any for this. Hell, we've seen more of Just Cause 3, and that's ways off.
Speaking of the Batmobile at first it feels rather awkward and forced, but over time it sort of grows on you and the game throws some very difficult fights at you assuming limited upgrades (we’ll get to that in a bit) which are really interesting and entertaining.
Yeah...going to have to disagree on that one amigo.
The excavator boss fight is certainly a front-runner for worst gameplay sequence of 2015, as was the "fight literally FIFTY of the same tanks you've been dealing with the entire game at once" section.
I keep going back to AK and asking myself just what happened to Rocksteady between their last game and this. It's a step back in nearly every department (minus visual presentation of course).
An official REmake 2 could be interesting, provided it has a decent budget. Capcom's gotta know there's a middle ground between the millions spent on RE6 and the spare change found under a desk used to fund Revelations 2.
I still think it's odd we've heard nothing about RE7 yet.
So, if I'm reading this right, about 38 gigs worth of games will have to be downloaded (not installed), regardless if you've got a disc copy. It's similar (and equally annoying) to how the Master Chief Collection had it's multiplayer content relegated to a separate download .
Could they really not find a way to get those on disc?
The 360 games are said to be included on the disc if you get that version.
Well that's a relief. Thanks for clearing that up!
Awesome work from these guys, now let's hope they get clearance to give KOTOR1 the same treatment. I just can't do KB+M.
If I already had the "twist" spoiled for me, is it safe to just go ahead with KOTOR2?
Yeah that's about the only thing that KOTOR2 could spoil since it has nothing to do with the events of the first game beyond using them as a broad backdrop for why the Jedi are all fucked up again.
Interesting, thanks for the info. I'll jump in as soon as that restored content mode hits Steam.
