Hey vinny, your fuel lines keep getting disconnected because you make them with a sharper than 90 degree angle. They get disconnected every time you reload.

Also, symmetry isn't always the best idea if the craft isn't already perfectly symmetrical. The fuel lines going into your central fuselage from your liquid fuel tanks aren't symmetrical, so one side usually got connected and stayed connected, the other side did not. You were constantly jettisoning half full tanks throughout the video. Driving me insane :P

Also, the first stage boosters are going to get you to 75ish km. If they don't get you there, add more boosters. You should not be using your liquid fuel rockets (second stage) during your climb. They are incredibly weak and you're essentially blowing half your fuel instead of adding one more booster.

Another tip: The lander should be short and fat. Landing a rocket driven hockey puck is easier than landing a rocket driven candle.

I love these videos. Please make many more.

@vinny ...son, listen to this guy. If you want to know which tanks are empty, I think if you put the engine in a separate stage as the tanks, it will show the tanks as individual units instead of all combined as one. I'm not 100% on this though, this is just the way I do it. Also if you want to know your distance from the surface you need the radar altimeter which is available if you go IVA mode. Honestly though the best thing to do is to stick like 4 lights on the widest edge of your hab, and then as you come down the lights will make 4 shadows on the surface. The faster those 4 shadows meet, the faster you are falling. Don't worry about distance and use the shadows to judge your speed. It's how the apollo 11 astronauts did it, and it works in this game.

@vinny, dawg, you have to kill that horizontal acceleration. If you're going to land on the Mun you gotta burn retrograde until the retrograde indicator is on the bottom of your gimbal. Then you don't have to worry about coming in at an angle. You can just feather what fuel you have left to land safely on the surface.

Oh also, about asparagus staging; it doesn't work if you put engines on all of the tanks. You're only supposed to have one engine in the center and all of the tanks around it feeding the single engine (so make the engine in the center a big one that can lift the mass of 5-6 tanks). As each tank empties, you jettison the empty tank. If you have engines on every tank then you're burning away your fuel savings in excess thrust (which you don't need.)

This quicklook had the perfect ending. Just Brad saying "alright" and then the video resetting. Great job guys.
