I'd like to see Dark Souls 3 get some love. But based on bombcast discussion, I'd say Doom is a strong contender.

Dark Souls 3 could still win something. You know, like most disappointing game?

No Man's Sky or Street Fighter V are pretty much the front runners here

unless I get it before christmas, Last Guardian since FFXV is paid off.

as for Christmas, pretty much cash to fund the Q1 games, like Miku, Nioh, Nier (maybe) and Horizon.

unless Final Fantasy XV or the Last Guardian really knocks their socks off (it could happen!)

I'm predicting a top 10 including Doom, the Witness, Overwatch, Hitman season 1, Stardew Valley (cause no way Dan lets that one slip by), Owlboy maybe, Ratchet might sneak in there, Uncharted, Inside and maybe one of the first 2

Bono

his long running activism and raising awareness on issues is just as large as U2 music, whether you like the band or not ( I do ^_^ )

Britain "Man, brexit was such a mistake, it's like the stupidest thing we could do as a nation"

America: "oh yeah? watch this!"

'Hello, Fabled Hero of Legend™, listen, I know you're busy but can you deliver this package for me? I totally forgot to do it. Thanks!"
(walks for 20 seconds)

"OH! My package! Was wondering where this was, bless you!"

I know they try to add quests and give you xp and stuff but come on, really? Send me to deal with a bandit camp or clear out a den of monsters, not trivial Fed-ex work

Probably the beginning.

The low damage, the wonky hitboxes during rolling (will this hit me or not? do I have i-frames anymore? This hit me but that didn't? Ok) and the enemies with stupid tracking and I'm like "yep, this'll be an ordeal". Haven't played Scholar yet but vanilla was almost unpleasant.

Art style is kind of meh to me but super subjective of course

Music is godlike and could end up in the Goty deliberations at the end of year

Gameplay is where it becomes spotty for me. It's fast paced and intense but then there's a delay on your dash, causing you to essentially preemptively dodge rather than do it reaction based which doesn't work once it gets bullet hell-y.

The flashing enemies that you need to parry tells the player "parry when you see the flash, yet it's actually a second or so later.

Gameplay is already starting to become repetitive and same ol-same ol and I'm only 2 bosses in.

The walking sections are completely asinine and a waste of resources. Should've just been non-interactive cutscene.

Excited For:

Horizon: Zero Dawn : Long as they get the story/characters right. Exploration looks good, combat looks bang on, art direction and world design is intriguing, just give me story to care about.

NieR Automata : first Nier had great characters, good story cool world and a fuking fantastic soundtrack....but it played meh. Take the good stuff of Nier, put it on the "good" Platinum and it could be quite special.

Surprised by:

Resident Evil 7 biohazard : Hoping the demo is not completely representative since it was slightly walking simulator-ish but they're finally doing something new with the formula.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild : living up to the promise of doing something different with this one. Just gotta show the Zelda design and I'm totally in.

Worried for:

Scalebound : I have faith, I mean it is Kamiya but that demo did not play well, the constant chatter was annoying and I'm worried the co-op will mean the game is less challenging to accommodate all the other players.

Injustice 2 : Knowing what we know from IJ1 and Mortal Kombat XL, I'm just imagining overpriced DLC season pass, microtransactions, ugly character models and faces (which NRS always does) and that gear system sounds either gamebreaking or interesting but completely unnecessary.
