In Doom Eternal the entire future seems like Asgard from Thor, like the entire world is a fully techno-magic warrior society.

I'm not quite sure where you're getting this. You do know that not a ton of the game takes place on earth and you're actually going to other planets(specifically the sentinel homeworld) right? I feel like anything in the earth areas looks like regular futuristic stuff.

Something to keep in mind is that The Division 2 is actually not that old(it's barely a year old at this point). So there is nothing BUT base Division 2. This upcoming expansion is the first one.

Honestly my biggest(and only real)complaint about RE2 was how they made him into a thing for your first playthrough instead of making him a B campaign thing only like in the original. With him in both it takes a lot of the variety and excitement the second run had. Now that second run is kinda just more of the same

I dunno if it really counts but I've played the large majority of the "big" games that came out this year and FFXIV:Shadowbringers is head and shoulders above everything I've played this year.

Not only does it feel like a legitimately full new Final Fantasy game at times, it's also arguably(and I fall on the side of "it is")pushes FFXIV into being the best Final Fantasy game period.

The music is incredible and makes me think they finally have a worthy successor to Uematsu. The story, characters, and voice acting is fantastic, and the final 5-10 or so hours of the storyline has without a doubt the most amazing moments of any game I've played this year.

and the nice thing is the last quest in "A Realm Reborn" gives you an item that let's you completely remake your character's appearance(gender and race included). So if you end up making it to the expansions and want to switch to one of the new races you can do that without spending more money.

I mean it's no Tie Fighter. But I guess the (very close)second best space sim of all time is pretty good.

Has anyone tried this with MKB? I assume it's less than ideal?

I've always played these space sims mouse and keyboard style and while yeah it's probably not ideal, it is imo totally fine. You don't get constant turning ability since you have to drag the mouse to the edge of your play space and then reset, but the alternative is that you get significantly more accurate firing ability. The modding scene for this game is also decent so I'll bet there are some modern controller mods out there if need be.

It's definitely not a standard red. But I also have no problem with it.

Honestly if you're just getting into the game now then I think you should get it on the PC. There are zero issues these days finding people to group with and from a technical perspective it's absolutely night and day. We're talking a difference between 30 fps and unlimited framerate. A difference between upwards of minute long load times and 5 second load time(even on a standard HDD). That's not even getting into how much better the game looks(which I honestly dont think is very important anymore)

The biggest reason to get the ps4 version instead would be the ability to play Iceborne right away, but if you're just starting you wont be able to do that anyway and I can see it taking you a month or two to get to the end of the game at which point you'd get a nice break instead of heading right into iceborne. But really that's entirely up to you and how you play.
