That is done purposely in ranked so someone doesn't see another player with a "5000-0" record and duck out of the game with their tail between their legs.

As reported on [www.bemanistyle.com]

PM Studios is now reporting today that Technika is now testing in two public locations in the Los Angeles area. A machine is currently housed at the UCLA Ackerman Union arcade "Coinz" as well as the Game Play location in Long Beach. Michael Yum of PM Studios also indicated the game will be testing in other select states and countries such as Japan and China and we'll be sure to update everyone once those locations are made available.

Game Play is located at 6540 E. Spring St., Long Beach, CA, 90808 for those who need the address.

Yeah, the difficulty isn't anything like the SNES.  You have to realize HD Remix is easier than Turbo, believe or not.  In the arcade version of Turbo, even the very first CPU character was very likely to wipe the floor with you unless you were adjusted to it.

""sucks" is probably the wrong word,. I would say he is very beginner unfriendly, I did speak to  a few people (nice ones) who mentioned how difficult they were finding it winning a match with him. To a beginner or someone very out of touch with fighting games  there is 16 more appealing choices on the fighter select screen... especially since quite a few players online are really rather good at the game with a variety of characters."
I wouldn't really argue with that.  Dhalsim does require a lot of finesse.  With HD Remix, Capcom had to bring the other characters up to the level of Dhalsim and it no doubt makes a lot of other characters look more attractive as choices.   Still, Dhalsim has a killer bag of tricks, it just takes a bit to learn them.

I've yet to come across this, but, I don't play with a headset unless I know the people involved or it is absolutely crucial to the game.  I've only received one message in close to 30 fights online and it was a discussion about lag, yet, the person didn't use it as a loss excuse and still commented on a good game.  Give it two weeks.  After that, all of the casuals will most likely stop playing online and most of the better-mannered skilled players will be the ones playing online.  That's essentially how it was for the beta.

Also, I got my 20 match achievement at 19 fights.

Finally, I have to go into this - Dhalsim sucks?  You know he was top tier in the original Turbo next to Balrog and pretty much the main reason Ryu got his fake hadoken right?  Dhalsim is a keep-away character, usually alternating between flames and stretches to trap opponents and his mid-air spear punishes fireball throwers unless they recover in time for an anti-air special.  You'll see many tournament players picking him.

I most typically do not get to play games Monday through Wednesday, but aside from that I get about four to five hours each day in on Thursday through Sunday.

It's not spamming, really.  As the game itself terms it, the hadoken "controls horizontal space."  As Ryu, it's basically his main offensive maneuver.  Plus, the move freezes you for more than 40 frames.  Anyone who has the foresight to jump over the fireball can have a field day with you.

But, yes, when you want to see how fireballs should be played, you watch the above video by David Sirlin.  Fireballs are all about control and when played correctly they force the opponent to do exactly what you want them to do.

I've had a lot of fun with Ryu, Dee Jay and Zangief so far.  I think I'm going to try my luck with M. Bision, Balrog and Sagat next.

As said before, once you get the knack of it, it doesn't become quite as hard to pull off.  Jab, jab, toward, short, fierce - it has to be done extremely fast.

And, yes, Shin Akuma is in the game - as the hidden boss.  You can't play as him unless it is a hidden feature we don't know about, but it was like this even in the original Turbo release.  It's kind of disheartening to get to the final boss as Akuma and you can't do some of the things the CPU is doing.  The double fireball and low recovery frames are brutal, nonwithstanding, a clean shoryuken that takes about 50-60% of your health.  Just like in Turbo, you reach him by getting at least three perfect rounds and not continuing before reaching M. Bison.  I usually get pretty cheap with Akuma's red fireball in order to achieve this, but there are some characters such as Vega, Chun Li and Cammy that are a bit tough to fireball fight.  I can almost always double perfect Dee Jay and Zangief with the red fireballs since they knockdown and hit three times with the fierce version.  Just keep at it and you'll get it eventually.

This was one of my main gripes with the promises of the game.  David Sirlin said in a post prior to the game's release that the game was fixed so that "easy was easy, medium was medium, etc."  I think that's a far cry from the truth in the actual release.  Ultimately, it really doesn't bug me as I can muster through on easy and normal, but my main concern was from the casual player who could possibly be detoured from purchasing the game because of the difficulty.

I actually played single player for once the other day and, man, is Akuma a d*ck even on easy.  I had to cheap him out with Blank rolls and even then it took almost 10 attempts.  Now that I have the achievement, though, I don't have to tackle it any time soon.
