Oh man, shit went down. Can't wait for the next one. I'm hoping the fight will be just as, if not more awesome than the Shadow Mitsuo fight. I think for me one of the things the anime has done best is make me feel like this is the first time going through this story. I knew full well what was going to happen but I felt the same way as I did on my first time through the game. For all its flaws, it at least does that well, which I consider to be a success.

Having said that, I liked the added details in the episode. Especially the fact that Yu was not made to look stupid by just casually opening the letter in front of Dojima like he was in the game. More generally, just the added stuff that comes along with Yu having a personality is good too. Later on, I think it will make the scene where the Team are debating whether or not to throw Namatame in the TV much more tense too.

And man, they totally tug on the heartstrings by making Nanako super adorable. A certain event later on is going to be very upsetting indeed.

@metalsnakezero: Does Mist (the song from the Izanami battle) actually play every time one of those is used or is that the uploader doing some editing? I thought it was cool at first but it's a little jarring just starting up all of a sudden like that.

Yu using Myriad Truths is pretty awesome as is Galactic Punt and Akihiko's Persona being bigger than the Earth. Teddie saluting his Persona as blasted off was pretty damn funny too.

Yeah, I loved that game as a kid but at that time I also loved that film so perhaps my views are not reliable. I remember the Tatooine level being pretty fun though. Still, I think the Jedi Knight games are better.

According to Wikipedia, her son had cancer so she stopped doing work for a while but he recovered like 4 years ago, and Persona 4 came out around then so I think she's still hanging around. She did a few extra voices in Saint's Row: The Third apparently.

I don't think there will be any issue at all getting most of the English VAs. They're all pretty prominent, with the exception of Naoto who I haven't heard do anything else but I could be mistaken.

I thought some were better in English and some better in Japanese.

It says they won't be able arrest anyone but if it gets more widespread, those involved will complain about not having enough powers to do their job correctly. I don't like the sound of this one bit. I have very littlle faith in the police as it is. Still,, I don't think it'll get off the ground in a significant way.

@WatanabeKazuma: No, they come from a family of doctors but are not doctors themselves so are looked down on and that's why they pressure Fuuka. I think somewhere in her S.Link she mentions her father getting her into techy stuff so I thought he was an IT guy or a mechanic or something. Fuuka is my favourite character in P3 by a pretty long way. She doesn't freak out nearly as much as the rest of them and seems to just be down-to-earth and normal, not all dysfunctional. It's unfortunate that her English VA does a bit of a dodgy job. Also, agree with everything you said about Yosuke.

@PixelPrinny: I'm with you on Naoto, she's boring as hell. You didn't really say anything against Teddie, just that you thought him having a human form is wierd. So, Kanji's not as good a character cos he isn't gay? Alright. I'm ambivalent on Yukiko but Yosuke is nowhere near the complete monster people make him out to be. He is a realistic portrayal of a 16-year old male. Excluding the campout where I will admit that he is an ass, all of his 'homophobia' is obviously tounge-in-cheek and intended to get a reaction from Kanji. He is bone-headed for sure, but not the insensitive, malicious asshole I've seen him made out to be.

This. Although, to be pedantic, not all of them are orphans. Junpei has at least his dad, Mitsuru too (for a while), Yukari still has a mother and Fuuka has both of her parents, she just doesn't like them. They're still estranged from them though so it's all the same really.

Agreed on both accounts. The only other P3 characters I really like are Shinji and Fuuka and they are dead and not cut out for fighting respectively. P4 has better characters and is overall a better game but I found P3 to have a slightly better story perhaps because I'm conditioned to think that darker = better.

Fuck yes. I love that track but have never actually played through the part where you hear it.

Also, I've learned that there are only actually 4 characters: Kanji, Teddie, Chie and Mitsuru.

So, cue everyone using those all the time? Ugh. I might just focus on someone other than those cos I'm hipster like that :P I don't have enough internets to watch that stream but is Yukiko not that great then? Cos her special was hella powerful so I figured she'd be pretty decent. I guess she's too fragile.

Oh, man. They should've added Shadow alt. costumes for the P4 characters. That would be awesome.
