I honestly don't think a lack of interest in message boards is entirely the issue, really. The Giant Bomb threads on ResetEra are some of the most popular topics on that site, from what I've seen, at 17 threads made since 2017. (Meaning the previous 16 threads reached literally 300-400 or more posts and were locked.) People post in the thread regularly throughout the day, and I'd even say it stays largely Giant Bomb related the majority of the time. Right now we're arguing about the Shenmue Endurance Run!

I think the forums here were kind of always an afterthought. None of the staff ever seemed to care enough to post here, sticking to Twitter/Tumblr. Rorie can only do so much, and it's very much appreciated, but there isn't much to drive people here. I lurked here regularly for a long time, but I just gave up eventually. Ironic that the one time I've visited the forums in a while I ran into this topic, heh.

Yeah, I gave up and just started using ResetEra, and visiting the thread there. It's felt dead on the forums here for a while.

I'd appreciate an invite to the clan, if possible.

When this thread has devolved into whining about feminists, and posts with videos by scum like Jordon fucking Peterson, you know it’s done. It really says what the actual underlying issue with this entire topic was from the jump.

This is the first game announcement in some time I've been cautiously excited for. Absolutely love New Vegas, as well as much of Obsidian's output, so this has the potential to be fantastic.

That said, most of my favorite franchises have just been kind of a disappointment for the past few years, from Persona to Fallout, to WoW, so it's hard for me to get *too* excited these days. So I'll just go with "I would like for this to be good!".

I wear whatever garbage I find at a Walmart for cheap. T-shirt with bands or comic book characters, track pants or leggings, 15-20 dollar shoes.

Makes no difference to me, and ironically this year I’ve had multiple people compliment me over my T-shirts, for whatever reason. Hell, I wore the same to my fathers funeral earlier this year, and so did everyone else at it, funny enough.

Years back my go-to were Random PC Games, and a handful of QLs. (Story Hour, Wipeout, Harry Potter, Garshasp, many others I've sadly forgotten.)

Nowadays I often go back to Demo Derbys, and GBE Playdates. The latter is especially pretty nice, with a good mix of different games.

I like to marathon the Mario Party's once a year or so, when I want a good length of content to just turn my mind off for. Replaying through Skyrim earlier this year was a nice case for that.

No. I didn't mind the re-design from the get-go, but at this point, as someone mentioned above, I barely remember the old site. This is just fine, for me.

Funny enough, my favorite Xbox game was Morrowind. I was a big console RPG fan (so JRPGs mostly), had never heard of it, but on a whim grabbed it out of some bargain bin, and really just fell deeply in love. I played it before I got a PC, and it pretty much blew my mind and opened me up to a lot of future PC RPGs, once I actually got a computer. (Including much more Morrowind on PC, with mods and all that fun.) Met most my internet friends at the time on a Morrowind forum, too.

Beyond that, KOTOR 1 and 2 were games I replayed multiple times and loved, as well as THUG1.

Really, I suppose I didn't have that many Xbox games, overall, and spent the majority of my time on PS2, and later PC, but I'll always give props to Xbox for the time I spent playing Morrowind on it.

Beast in the East was a series about Japanese mythical beasts, right? No? Visual novels involving animals? Yakuza? Ohhhh, I see.

I like Alex Effect, of the names mentioned. Evokes Alex, and the ‘effect’ of his choices in Mass Effect. Mass Alex sounds like a series about Alex bulking up for a boxing match.
