These are based on my excitment for said title and how disappointed I was in the games. The games may not be necessarily bad, but I was let down by them whether in quality or design choice.

Winner: Hotline Miami 2

It was the game I look forward to the most this decade after how much I loved the first one. I bounced off it in 15 minutes launch day. Eventually I got a trainer and made my way through the game, still didn't find it fun. Forcing the use of guns was the worst decision they could have made. First one was incredibly addicting; the focus on melee weapons fit the frenetic energy and soundtrack perfectly. Second one has a few cool sequences but man that game sucked shit. Good soundtrack though.

Dis-honorable mention: ME3 at launch, I was fucking bummed out by this game. After all the DLC released and eventually some distance from my first playthrough, it is fine, but I'm still resentful by how much I disliked that game originally.

Dis-honorable mention: Arkham City, I still don't like this game very much. Asylum is still the best one (by a great margin mind you) and while I haven't played them in a while, Origins is the better out of the other 3, but not my much. I hate the open world and most of the game honestly, I remember the final boss being a ton of fun and wanting Rocksteady to do a samurai game, that's about my lone positive for the game. It's fine but wasn't the direction I wanted after Asylum.

Dis-honorable mention: DA2, lol I actually forgot about this, guess time heals all wounds? Loved DA:O and this was a bummer of a sequel. Its fine now that I look back on it, not the sequel I wanted and not nearly as epic as the first, but eh. Was def a sign of bad things for bioware the next ohhhhhhhhhhhh......decade. Rough

Dis-honorable mention: Puzzle Agent 3. All TellTale had to do was release Puzzle Agent 3 and everything would've been fine. Fuck them for never making this /s

Thought last year struck a balance of a new format with the old categories. While I wouldve liked different categories, love the discussions they produce.

I hated the 4th episode this year, doesnt seem like they even care. Felt like a old vestige that they felt compelled to do, but it wasnt worth it.

Honestly I hope they consider next year to do, the first 4 episodes are a full, year in review while the 5th is just the site top 10. They do a full talk about the game unless it's up for consideration on the 5th day like they did with Death Stranding. Talk about the game if it has great music, play some clips even, spoil the story, etc. Talk about the news, the messes, the new console releases with none of the rankings that the categories require them. Last day is the best of the best as it should be. I think the evolution of the format over the past two years should reach it's full potential.

Phantasmagoria RPCG Endurance Run

Was the first live stream I ever got to watch actually live after subbing to the site. Got off early from work and grabbed some fast food and put on the stream. Little did I know Vinny and Dave would give us a top 3 site feature that still enraptures me to this day.

Moment of the decade is probably Ryan's passing. I think about that wonderful man daily and his impact on my life. It's not a happy moment, but I like to remember all the laughs, moments and conversations he gave us in his short time with us.

For sometime in my life, I thought the Beach Boys, The Bee Gees and the Beastie Boys were the same artist.

In my defense, I will say I probably figured out this wasnt the case when I was 12 or 13 and I did not care much about music until I was 14, 15. I just thought it was a group that was just able to evolve with the times and what's popular and never connected the differences in names.

Stand by my opinion that persona 4 ER is the best content they have ever produced. Yes its 100 hours, but it's an incredible 100 hours with Vinny, Jeff and the greatest game ever made.

@infantpipoc: I think that's the easy one. Anyone on the staff like that game? I have yet to play it, even chickened out an cancelled my preorder before it came out.

I liked last year's format a lot. But I do miss the joke category's. I think they should do one joke category a year.

And I like worst game that we played award. Still disagree about Andromeda winning two years ago, but I like the category nonetheless. Where I'm reminded about the worst of the worst from every year, it's quite important.

Endless Setlist from Rock Band 2 for me. 84 songs on expert drums made me sweat all over. During one of the last few songs I know a drum stick flew out of my hand from sweaty palms.

I miss achievement and trophy tracking. Was lost in the 2013 rebuild along with quests but I fucking loved that feature.
