I love Jack Swagger but him debuting like this just feels so TNA. He's honestly one of the few people in AEW I'd actually be really excited to see so I guess I shouldn't complain.
Definitely think Cole/Riddle was Match of the Night, probably should've closed the show (I feel Balor returning would've been a better finish than Ciampa as well).
Riho did a decent job carrying Nyla, the match was a botchfest but she at least made it an exciting title win.
Wasn't a fan of the AEW main event having a member of the team brawling with a third party for like 6 minutes with no attention to what's in the ring.
Mia Yim did a good job letting Io carry her, hopefully she's able to have good matches without relying on her opponent carrying her eventually. Io's a fucking superstar btw.
The NXT Womens title match was good but the ending felt anticlimatic without an angle, I was expecting some new challenger to come out.
PAC was awesome of course, hopefully this means Page is going to be kept out of the spotlight for a while.
Was hoping Shane would get the rub here but I guess it makes sense to have Gargano win with Ciampa back.
Pete Dunne vs Danny Burch wasn't anything special but it's still Pete Dunne and Danny Burch.
I still can't stand Cody so its hard to judge his matches fairly.
MJF's "I don't like the thing you like" gimmick is getting extremely stale.
AEW's commentary still just doesn't do it for me (and I have to agree with Cornette on Excalibur's mask, unless you're going to be Jerry Lawler on commentary don't wear a gimmick on commentary like Lawler), Mauro is very hit or miss but Beth is one of the better third wheels and Nigel is the best commentator in WWE right now by far. Also even though it was in a much smaller building NXT still felt like a bigger product, which is mostly down to WWE's production values I think.
Next week's NXT is looking stacked BTW, KUSHIDA vs WALTER (unfortunately not a title match) and Gulak vs Rush should both be incredible.
