@ares42: Oh seriously? I never played as the monster but in the four matches I played, I think the monster was playing wrong then. Or the hunters were just playing really well because it never got to its final evolve.
As a few of you have posted already, I feel this game would be great if the hunters had an actual objective and it was the monster's duty to stop them from carrying it out.
Having the singular objective for both sides to be eliminate the opposition just feels like a missed opportunity that people may get bored of.
That said, I do feel that the balancing in this game is pretty good and every class feels important.
I don't totally knowhow superfluous it is but I really love any game that let's me do stuff besides reading codex entries during load screens. Especially how Bayonetta let's me practice combos.
I really can't wait for that patent to end though and I can go back to playing games within my games.
@nickhead & @anund : you know, maybe I was just thinking of the Iron Banner events. I had just remembered jumping in to a multiplayer event and totally getting my ass handed to me. But after just played some pvp last week with a level 14 warlock, everything was totally fine.
I play with controller and will only enter tactical view when my party needs to heal. And that's only because it always takes me forever to swap to a character that needs healing.
I really like the combination of book and movie. I feel it gives them more to talk about than "Oh it was cool when..." or "an example of this theme was..."
I'd love some Philip K Dick but I feel like the movies generally stray from the literature. So it would be interesting to hear about the differences between Blade Runner and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"
But honestly, I'm sure whatever they choose will be great.
I've been a sporadic destiny player for the past 4 months and I think that's why I have enjoyed it so much. It seems less repetitive when you don't have to do the same strikes 3 times in a row and the game lasts longer this way.
However, pvp is very difficult to play sporadically. The way bungie tries to balance it is still not effective for newcomers.
I went through and played Rage for the first time this year and I don't think it's as bad as everyone else did. It's similar to Destiny for me where the shooting mechanic is really good, but everything in between is just kind of meh. Except John Goodman. John Goodman rules.
This year, first up, I need to finish Saints Row 4. I had just plowed through the third a week before IV came out and just wasn't ready to go through and do it all again, but now I think I can handle it. I also would like to play through Witcher 2 one more time before 3 comes out. As far as games I have never put any time into though, I want to play through The Fall, Wolf Among Us, Kentucky Route Zero, Broken Age and Fallout: New Vegas.
