I go to the Bombcast and Beastcast for different things these days. Both are excellent in their own ways, but they manage to scratch different itches. What I love is that the addition of @austin_walker has brought a great academic nuance to the discussions about gaming in the podcast. And I think this has allowed @vinny to show that he's not just that big adorable goof ball we all know and love. He's incredibly insightful, humane and intelligent as well as being a big ol puppy. And then by extension Alex and Jeff also contribute to the debates which makes it just an awesome listen. Thanks guys, please keep on trucking.

I'm playing the division almost exlusively single player, even in the dark zone. As a pick up and play for an hour I'm enjoying it but it is repetitive in the extreme. I would've thought that three out of five would've been a fair score and reading the text of the review it's how I would have thought it would score. I had been dreading the review because the Division is a game I probably want to like more than I actually do. Guess some aspect just made waaaaay up for the others in Jeff's mind. Nice write up though.

Is it wrong that I actually find myself preferring the content and level of insightful discussion that GBeast offers means that I prefer that team. Feels a little like I'm sitting down my kids and telling them which one is my favourite and which is my organ bank for when my kidneys finally pack in.

@three0nefive: I dunno, folks have paid full price for SF and the content just isn't there and even listening to the podcast some of the missing features seemed to come as news to the staff. Added to it there are problems with connectivity according to this forum and input issues (moving from D to X input or summit) I don't actually see why it shouldn't be reviewed as it stands. The game is out afterall regardless of what it offers in the future.

And you'd have to imagine that a fix is on the way for XCOM2....hopefully...please!

I'm just looking for consistency from the GB reviews if I'm honest. Broken games don't seem to be getting treated all the same just now. Some seem very rightly to be getting held up for the issues (XCOM2) where some seem to be getting an easier ride (Just Cause 3).

Wonder if it will be as penalised as heavily as XCOM 2 was in it's review score or if it'll get a pass. The issues with XCOM 2 seem highly variable from person to person, whereas the criminal lack of content etc is fairly universal in SF. Not played either, just curious

It does seem weird to me that something like Just Cause 3, which was supposedly riddled with game breaking glitches, framerate issues and general gameplay issues, can get a 4/5 but XCOM2 gets a 3/5 (both reviewed by Dan). The way that Just Cause was talked about both on the podcast and the quick looks totally put me off of buying it, but having watched the quick look of Dan playing the XCOM2, it did nothing but strengthen my desire to play the game. Seems like inconsistent reviewing to me and is quite frustrating.
