At some point you guys should spend some time in the firing range checking out the different guns because at least half of the guns control actually completely differently and the stats chart doesn't tell you what that gun actually does.
Do you know that you actually have grenade launchers, harpoon guns, and laser rifles in your equipment screen right now? (You have to actually try them out to see that they do that, because nothing on the stats screen tells you that stuff)
Agreed! The devs had a ton of fun with the guns in this one. ME3 doesn't get enough credit for its combat.
@grayfox666: @sebmal: Whoa - I guess you're right. It doesn't help that about 90% of what I remember is from Midgar, though maybe like 15% of the game takes place there i guess. Anyway the plot heaviness of the beginning means they can probably get away with making it a full game.
Did RDR2 ever fix the extremely complicated and rare edge case of placing your camp? I know it seems silly to ask about, given the well known workaround of starting any mission so you can get instanced away from the overcrowded server and so you can find an open camp, but I'm an optimist!
As someone who has played through the demo, I cannot believe Brad thought holding the attack button and doing the AoE spin attack was all you could do. There are even air combos on enemies in the air if you actually hit the button multiple times like you're suppose to.
It's wild he never questioned it after seeing that same spin animation repeat for 3.5 hours.
Good news that this takes combat cues from FF13, which (eventually) had really interesting combat.
Also I'm sure someone else said it, but holy shit you spend *way* more than 5 hours in the opening city. It's probably 1/3 of the game. Not saying that statement itself makes it a valid full game, but it all depends on how they flesh it out.
