They're still not paying you for this right? Because that's kind of insane. I imagine things aren't that simple in CBS land but still, this is everything the site should have but doesn't. The chat logs in particular are amazing and seem like the type of thing that would be way easier with some "official" back-end support but I don't really know anything about this stuff.

I mean you're not even running ads right? At least I'm not getting any. I don't know if that's legally questionable but honestly I wouldn't mind.

Most of you probably already heard about this but Nintendo is having a pretty good week based entirely on the success of Pokémon GO, so good that it's almost scary. I know this probably isn't the place for serious market discussions but still, I'd be interested to know what you guys think about this.

Honestly, this seems like a bit of a bubble in the making? As somebody who hasn't been able to play it yet (damn you, Europe!) maybe there's something to it that justifies its status as the worlds new digital crack cocaine but I honestly don't know how well it will do in terms of player retention.

The investors certainly seem to believe it'll continue to do well but I wonder how many of them are buying based on knowledge of the gaming industry and how many just called their brokers and said "get me some of that there Pokémon that all the kids are talking about".

It'll be interesting to see how this will influence Nintendo's future. Is this first major success going to hasten their path towards bringing their major franchises to various app stores? If this isn't a bubble will Nintendo shift their focus towards mobile in general? I assume the NX is too far along at this point to be influenced by any of this but if rumors are true and there is a major handheld component to that console how well does that fit into a world where Nintendo has a side business as an app-developer? Even if the apps aren't "proper" Nintendo games, does the public at large really care?

Interesting times ahead for Nintendo.

The sniper boss was a little buggy for me 2 or 3 times in ways that are specific to her particular mechanics but other than that it was smooth sailing for me on PC all the way through.

@friendlyphoenix: The "alt" part is just speculation as far as I can tell. A straight up WW1 game just seems weirder than an alt-history one I suppose? There wouldn't be all that much weapon/vehicle variety but whatever it ends up being they must be pretty sure they can make it work to make it the next "proper" numbered BF sequel.

I'd be down for a sky captain and the world of tomorrow style WW1 game. Maybe we'll even get titan mode back but this time it's zeppelins? That could be dope.

That was such a great trailer. This looks like everything I could want. I wonder whats faster, waiting for the English translation or learning Japanese because at this point I'm considering it.

@adequatelyprepared: I think it's less people not noticing and more it being pretty much what they expected. I think the cheesy pixar-lite stuff is exactly the right fit for Overwatch.

And the writing being kinda bad isn't that surprising either is it? Isn't it Blizzard's dirty little "secret" that most of their writing is kind of subpar? I didn't even think it was thaaaat bad tbh, just incredibly generic like you said.
