I was under the impression that the point was most the biggest titles planned for the november/december launch period have been pushed to 2010, not that nothing is coming out. I'm pretty sure the whole 'nothing in 2009' thing is a joke, using exaggeration. In any case, there's no way in hell I can buy everything good coming out either way. Maybe I don't hang around the sort of people that you do. I thought everyone said it for a laugh.

BlazBlue probably is of the same caliber... for Jeff. I think he hit it right on the nose when he said it's really made for Guilty Gear fans. (or an approximation thereof) I love it, but I also have all the main iterations of Guilty Gear and played the hell out of them. I want more characters, sure, but I love the diversity of characters based on the drive mechanics. It's the first fighting game I've had where I'm actually perfectly fine sticking to my couple best characters and leaving the rest alone.

Just means he had more money than your average stoner friend or alchoholic drinking buddy. Addicts are all the same. It doesn't make them a worse person; the addiction just drives them to bad decisions. It's a shame when it wins, though.

Bioware is more focused and determined in their efforts to immerse you in a living world, instead of massive expanses of too-much-to-do. I love the Elder Scrolls games, but I never finish them. I only actually finished shivering isles because Sheogorath was written brilliantly. Mass Effect, however, I can play innumerable times and love every minute. Responsive controls help.

Seriously? You lucky bastards get markdowns on new games? Our used games are only five dollars off new price.

I played the demo on Steam a while back, and it IS pretty much just a reskinned rhythm game... and the music... is not the most amazing. I'm not saying it's bad; just one of those 'not for everyone' games.

Really looking forward to Shadow Complex. Looked good enough to make me check up on Empire, which I then read, and which makes me even more want to play Shadow Complex. As a side note, Chair actually originally approached Card with the idea for the world and situation while designing the game, and let him build the story to have it make sense, for all those wondering... yeah. All two of you.
