Now that that's outta the way, i recommend Darker than Black, Baccano, Black Lagoon, and Kaiji. Just some shows i really liked though i see other people suggested them anyways.
 
Edit: Oh also i recommend Planetes, i haven't finished it myself (i only have about 4 episodes left) but i really like it.

The term Emo is too broad. Most people use it to describe metalcore and post-hardcore bands like the ones OP listed. Real emo music are bands like Sunny Day Real Estate or American Football like some people have mentioned. It really pisses me off cos people just use it whenever they hear a "whiny voice" or "screaming", but i guess it doesn't really matter because usually anyone who does is out to piss the person off or to just be "my musical taste > your musical taste".

I don't really post anything but if some bros need the quests then sure why not?
