Bought like 30 new movies. List here.

Assassination of Jesse James- Beautiful movie, if really slow and long. Love Brad Pitt and Casey Afflek. Just need to watch it when I'm really awake haha.

Bank Job-
Haven't seen it yet. It can't be that bad for like six bucks. Jason Statham is ofcourse the man, so I'm sure I'll at least enjoy it more than once.

Batman Begins (Collector's Edition)-
The case for this is dope, and it comes with a 'bat-USB drive'. Think I liked this one more than DK anyways.
Casino Royale (Collector's Edition)- Really nice case. I'm a sucker for pretty cases. And this movie was so worth it too, ofcourse.

Chronicles/Narnia: Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe-
Haven't seen it yet, really liked part 2, which is next on my list, once it's not so expensive.

Dark Knight (Blockbuster Exclusive Collector's Edition)
- Comes with a journal or something to write in. Yawn. But there's a joker card hidden in the back of it which is sweet. And the case has the Joker on it instead of the ugly cases it's usually sold in.

Day After Tomorrow-
Didn't like it THAT much, but I'll watch it again sometime I'm sure, so I might as well get it for four dollars or whatever.

Death to Smoochy-
IT'S FOR MY EDWARD NORTON COLLECTION, OKAY???? I'm plenty ashamed, haha. No one bug me about it!

Deception-
Love Ewan McGreggor, and Hugh Jackman was cool too I guess. I'd watch it again.

Final Destination-
My least favourite of the three (so far) I THINK. I'll watch it again shortly to be sure. Can't wait for part 4 in 3-mother f'n-D!!!!!!!!!!

Ghostbusters 2-Pack-
Never seen them. No really.

Golden Compass-
Looks fine I guess. In love with Nicole Kidman so I'll try it. Really cheap, may as well. Especially if there will be a whole series.

Gone Baby Gone-
Looks great, love Casey Afflek and Michelle Monaghan. Great title too, I think.

Hellboy-
Excited to see the second for some reason, even though I didn't like this that much. Oh well, it was nice and cheap!!!

History of Violence-
Been awhile since I saw it first, and now that I'll recognize most of the cast better I'll probably appreciate it more.

Hulk (1st one)-
Ugh....it was okay. Pretty tragic near the end, at least. Eric Bana pales in comparison to Norton ofcourse, but Connelly OWNS Tyler.

Illusionist-
Never saw it, seems like a chick show. Oh well, Ed Norton, I'm sold.

Kung Fu Panda-
It was pretty good. Some really funny moments, and pretty amazing fight scenes actually.

Lazarus Project-
Girlfriend said it was great so I went with it. Looks pretty cool I guess.

Mummy 3-
It was actually really good. Some of the humour falls flat and the dragon thing was idiotic but it was still a great entry in the series.

Painted Veil-
Edward Norton, okay?? Actually looks great though and Naomi Watts is extrordinairy.

Rambo (Collector's Edition 4-Pack)-
Really only LOVE the 4th one, but the first 3 were really good too.

The Rock-
Haven't seen it for SO DAMN LONG. But I'm fairly sure it's a great movie. I think....

Se7en-
Never saw all of it. But it's always raved about, so I got the special edition thingy.

Sin City-
The director's cut. Really good movie. Not perfect, like it thinks it is, but awfully close.

Stigmata-
Never seen it, sounds fantastic though!!!

Strangers-
It was good, not great. I'm greatly anticipating a sequel though.

Street Kings-
One of my favourite detective-style movies, which I usually hate. Really good cast.

Wall-E-
Duh.

Wanted (Expensive-As-Hell Collector's Edition)-
This one really surprised me. This edition in the leathery case was like 40 something dollars, but it was a cool movie that I'm sure will get better the more I watch it.

On Deck- Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Pathology, Hellboy 2, Death Race, Burn After Reading.

So it was staff discount weekend at work.... and we got paid yesterday.....

....at least all my christmas shopping was done!!!

Lemme know what you think. Full movie collection including these in my About Me section.

Italian Job / Mummy 3

Finally just saw the Italian Job as part of my Edward Norton collection. Really cool seeing him as a typical action movie villain. It actually had one of my favourite casts of any movie I've seen. Not quite Ocean's caliber but very good. Laughed my head off when Seth Green was imitating Statham's character. "Ello, I'm 'andsome Rob. An you are?" I was relieved to find out that Mark Wahlberg didn't always suck, just a one-time thing with The Happening.

The Mummy 3 comes out on DVD on Tuesday, which means I have it at home now. I saw it in theatres, as well. It's actually really good and felt like an important installment in that franchise. A very good closer (although I'm totally up for a new series featuring Alex). There are a few jokes that fall flat and it suffers from the recast from Weisz to Bello. Even though Bello did everything perfect and had the role right, recasting really hurts the continuity of a series. Even if the replacement is better. I'm expecting the same thing from Don Cheadle in Iron Man 2. I like him much better than Terrence Howard, and I think he's a far better actor but it just won't be right. The same with Katie in Dark Knight. I really missed her. Maggie Gyllenhall just, isn't that great. Katie is.

Next on my Norton list is The Score I think. Robert DeNiro as a retired theif teaching Norton the tricks of the trade. Sounds great. Marlon Brando in there too. Can't lose.

6 New Edward Norton Movies

Add to the collection, the following:

Keeping the Faith
Primal Fear
American History X

25th Hour
The Score
Italian Job

I've seen the first three, haven't yet watched the last three. Keeping the Faith was well acted and directed, especially for a romantic comedy. Primal Fear, his first role ever is very good, espeicially watching him act circles around everyone else in the movie, considering it was his first role. American History X must be watched. Anyone who's seen it will agree with me.

Several updates.

Completed: Tales of Symphonia:DOTNW - One of my new favourite games ever. Really only for hardcore fans of the first installment, but for them it's like a dream. The writing really surprised me, actually. The voice acting started off pretty shaky but really improved later on. Tragic story, but still has a lot of laughs in the right places. The monster taming felt really tacked on and unexciting (at least letting us name them would be nice) but later on in the game it's unimportant, really. Definitely some tear-jerking moments in the story. May throw a review up in the next few days.

Begun: Eternal Sonata- Snatched up for PS3 today. I've played an hour or two of it so far. The writing and voice acting aren't impressive but the art and soundtrack are breathtaking. The battle system is exciting too, especially for a turn-based system. The only stand-out likeable character at this point is an unknown villain, but I expect it to pick up shortly.

Movie Purchases- Two more Edward Norton's, inching ever closer to completing my collection. Kingdom of Heaven and The People Vs. Larry Flynt. Haven't watched them yet but I'm told they're both great. Also got Transporter 2 (going to buy 3 when it's released, might as well have all of them) and Smokin Aces, which rocks my socks. Now up to 274 movies in my collection. Link to the whole list of em in my About Me, if you care  XD

About to Watch- The Fall, some foriegn film which looks really fancy and artsy etc. Not sure what it's about though. Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman. My friend is making me watch it. Dunno either. Frailty, I got because I love seeing Matthew McConaughey do REAL work, not just a dumbass treasure hunter. See Reign of Fire or this to see him show what he's really got.

That's all folks!

Transporter 3 - Fantastic

Has all the excitement of the first and second, without a ridiculous 'save the world from a virus' plot (lol Transporter 2) and no in-your-face CGI (lol Transporter 2). Just really, really entertaining. Very funny. My favourite of the three, narrowly. My only real issue was the shaky camera in the fight scenes. They were choreographed fine, but the quick-editing style isn't as cool to watch as the long, wide shots they used in the first two films.

Definitely see it, as long as you like action movies. Don't need to have seen the first two.

My ONE problem with Force Unleashed.....

Could Starkiller react ANY slower to getting knocked down? I don't think so. I can mash any and all buttons after getting knocked down, but he lays still for a moment THEN slowly jumps back on his feet THEN has a period where he won't move. It's all in the course of 2-4 seconds but it's precious time in this game.

Another not so big problem I have is the bosses. They're interesting, exciting, and cool. And they're difficult as well, which is normally great, but they're difficult for the wrong reasons. They're not difficult because they react well to you're movement and attacks, or because they are particularly powerful. They're difficult because they spam the shit out of force push and ignore most saber combos. Not cool.

It's sad because other than the difficulty created by those two things and being on hard mode, this is perhaps my favourite game EVER. It's just them that are kinda holding it back.

Omega Weapon is beating my ass.

Final Fantasy VIII's last secret boss is giving me trouble. I'm thinking I'm going to skip him and give him another try on my next file, in which I'll be grinding to level 100. That means he'll have about 1.6 million HP but... it'll be for the best I think.

And it's time for another Incredible Hulk post. I just bought the 3-Disc special edition. I haven't yet watched the bonus featurettes but I checked out the deleted scenes and I'm surprised they weren't included. Some of them had a silly line or two, but had some good background info on Bruce and his life in Brazil before the beginning of the movie. I also need more Tim Roth, he's way too hardcore. Anyone could have taken his role in Funny Games, or maybe Even Money, but not here. I really know they could have done better than Liv Tyler though. Hollywood needs to learn that she is NOT very attractive and not a great actress. She killed in Lord of the Rings, but just about anyone could have done it better.

I'm beginning my Edward Norton movie collection as well. So far I can get everything he's an actor in on his IMDB page except that straight-to-video from the 90's, but I don't really care about that anyways. As far as I'm concerned his first role was Primal Fear. On deck for purchase are: Primal Fear, The Score, The Illusionist and The Italian Job. The rest are on order except an old Woody Allen film which goes for about 50 dollars online, and that's used! So...that one will be a little while.

Also I've got my eye on a model of Squall's pendant from FF8 on eBay. It's from Square-Enix's store, but they don't ship to Canada so I need to do it this way. Sterling silver on the pendant and a leather rope for the lace. About 140 dollars.... but my god, it's my precious.

I'm very impressed with the Saw franchise

One of the big deals for me is the script writing. I don't mean dialogue, but plot and backstory. Plenty of movie series' (that don't have established scripts) have sequels that clearly establish themselves as taking part after what happened before, but since part 3 I've been blown away by how each original story and character meshes with the earlier ones, when they weren't planned ahead of time. It's really making me view this as a complete saga, instead of just a run-on series.

Clearly, I've recently seen part 5 and I left very happy. The trap in the introduction wasn't that interesting, I found, or at least didn't live up to Saw 4's incredible opening trap. The most common criticism  towards these movies (besides how many there are, which is and idiotic thing to complain about) is their similarities. The casual viewers say "they're all the same, people work together, try to survive trap, die, the end". It's hilarious, really, since the real point of the movies goes right past them... oh well.

I'm really excited for Saw 6 (hopefully still slated for next Halloween) and apparently, if things go well, a seventh will be written to tie off the series. You may say too many, but after the last, I'll be upset. If they announced to be going to twenty I'd die from excitement. Can't have too much of a good thing. If the quality doesn't dip, then why not? :)

Music Players in profiles - anyone like?

I updated mine to have 30 songs now.... and I use it while I'm surfing the site so I dont have to be running WMP, but it would be nice if other people enjoyed it. I can't see anyone sitting there surfing a little flash player, but who knows?

If you have one - do you get comments or anything on it? Do you use it yourself?
If you dont - would you get one? Why not if no?

QotD - Wii Music

I don't know what to expect, except awesomeness. I'm fairly sure I won't be disappointed.

My runner-up is Guitar Hero. What's funny is that I never liked music games. But Wii Music looks spiffy, and Guitar Hero has BFMV so.... well that's all it takes to get me on board.
