lately I've been on some weird science and debunking of magicians bender on Youtube and let me just say, it'd take some crazy shit to convince me anything supernatural was actual "real."

Me too! I watch one little Penn and Teller AmA and my recommended list got flooded with a bunch of James Randi debunking videos. I couldn't stop watching them for a few days. I especially enjoyed watching the cold reader "psychics" and the faith healers get called out. I hate when people have their grief taken advantage of.

There are smarties with chocolate in them? Everything I know is a lie.

Those Smarties are called Rockets in Canada because of the whole chocolate Smarties thing. If you want to know what Smarties taste like just think about how M&M's taste and then imagine it tasting really really shitty.

America is definitely not missing out. Coffee Crisp is a different story if you haven't had one you are most certainly missing out.

@omega: I think you have a skewed view of hunting. Its not about getting your rocks off at watching animals suffer.

Sorry, I figured I'd ruffle some feathers with that comment I should have just not made it in the first place. It's just my opinion on the hobby.

I'm pretty sure one of the goals of hunting is to kill the game as quickly and efficiently as possible so as to avoid seeing it suffer.

Exactly this. It is in many areas a vital activity to help control population. If the population of animals like deer become overpopulated in areas it can lead to scenarios where there won't be enough food and the animals will just die a slow painful death from starvation. Also, all of the hunters I know use every bit of the animal that they kill. My post wasn't about me being "offended" its about me being irritated by people with limited viewpoints speaking out in ignorance about something they have little to no knowledge of.

All I'm saying is that hunting should be a sombre necessity rather than a fun time activity. Enjoying yourself while killing something seems wrong to me. I'm not against hunting or killing animals for food. I eat meat, I understand that population control is important. I just don't want to be around people who enjoy the act of killing a real live creature whether its human or animal.

So to sum up my opinion. Hunting is okay, enjoying the act of killing not okay. Again really sorry to everyone for instigating this argument I honestly wasn't trying to be inflammatory I was merely trying to point out that I might be biased on the whole Miss Kansas thing since I saw in the story that she enjoys bow hunting.

I'm not a racist but, white people suck.

(I should probably clarify that I'm a white guy. This joke doesn't work well in a text based medium. Hmm... Oh well.)

I'm not a fan of beauty contests but since they chose to allow themselves to be judged on their attractiveness then I don't feel too bad saying this. The Indian lady deserved to win because she is way more attractive than the white lady.

Also I'm not the biggest fan of hunters, especially bow hunters. No offence to any hunters in the community I just can't be comfortable around anyone who thinks watching an animal suffer is a good time. So maybe I'm a little biased.

When Danielle Riendeau gave Dragon's Crown a poor review and cited the art style as a reason and the internet lost its shit because a woman had an opinion, that was disgusting. This is a design choice. I wish David Ellis could see the difference. If you don't like it you don't need to play it.

If you want to complain about something how about the general lack of female, or hell even non white male, protagonists in video games or the fact that Naughty Dog had to fight to have Ellie on the box art for Last of Us or how about we fix how real women are treated in online games by shitty men. When somebody has to make a survival guide to not getting harassed online, you know there is a huge problem.

I don't see why we can't have both the realistic female characters and the cartoonishly over the top characters. Movies and television have the super capable normal female characters and the slutty friend who's always getting into wacky sexy high jinx, if they can have both why can't video games.

Jesus I am really just digging a fucking hole for myself here.

Let's just say I love games with strong female protagonists with lots of clothes on and normal proportions and I like games with over sexualized female characters with few clothes on and cartoonish proportions, it depends on the game. I think that Quiet is designed perfectly for something like Metal Gear Solid because, let's not forget, MGS is fucking stupid. It's always been stupid, it will always be stupid. Gloriously and beautifully stupid, but stupid none the less. Now if, say, Grim from Splinter Cell was wearing that getup I'd be the first to call bullshit because of the serious world and tone that series has.

I usually love a good conspiracy theory, I think the more likely answer is that our community doesn't have a strong base for these type of games. I happen to enjoy them but I don't think there is any malicious action at CBS preventing them from doing a quick look. I just don't think these type of games resonate with the majority of GB members.

A strong base for what type of game? Rhythm game? No, there's definitely enough interest in that genre here. What's more likely is that Sega didn't send GB a copy, and the first run of physical copies produced was actually pretty limited.

All that being said, as I said on a blog post I wrote last week, this game is pretty great. You should definitely check it out of you're into rhythm games.

Your blog post sold me on that game. I love rhythm games and I was aware of Project Diva, in that I heard the name before. I'm sort of on the edge of the demographic that would like such a thing. Deep enough in the anime culture to watch some anime from time to time and play a bunch of JRPG's but out of it enough that I don't follow or particularly like the anime culture and don't follow any news centred around anime, I barely know what vocoloid is et cetera.

What I'm poorly trying to say is that it's people like me that a Project Diva f quick look would benefit from. If it wasn't for Hailinel's blog post I'd never have bought it. There are a bunch of edge cases, like myself, out there in the Giant Bomb community who don't go on the forums and will never know how cool Project Diva f is.

The hopeful guy in me thinks that since Jeff likes rhythm games a lot, and they've been quick looking some very niche things lately like the FTP card games that there may be a good chance on a slow week they might do one in the near future.

The cynic in me thinks this post has rambled on long enough and I should shut up now.

Solforge is pretty cool. Love the art and the level up mechanic. Just started playing Scrolls by Mojang. It's another great digital TCG I'm really loving it. anyone interested in Hearthstone or Solforge should really check it out. Though unlike Solforge or Hearthstone it's got an entry fee of $20. Though Mojang is doing the same minecraft business model so $20 is the for now price and will go up the more complete it gets. But for $20 it feels pretty complete. There is a micro transaction aspect but it's all cosmetic. Mojang have said ininterviews about how they are being very careful how they implement microtransactions. You can't even buy boosters with real money just the in game gold you get for playing matches and completing challenges. You can buy, trade and sell cards for gold manipulating demand for certain cards and what not.

I feel like some stupid spokesperson now but I don't see a lot of talk about this one and I think anyone who likes Solforge would be right at home with the lane based card gameplay Scrolls has.

Here's the trailer so people can at least see what its like.

I'm surprised how the next car just took its turn as if nothing happened. By the way, some comments of the video seem to believe that the audio is a dubbed over.

This video and this video are both longer and silent, so they may be correct.

I'm going to have to agree, mostly because I don't think the manager would be cursing so much knowing he is being recorded, could cost him his job. Everything seems to cost people their jobs these days.
