When Danielle Riendeau gave Dragon's Crown a poor review and cited the art style as a reason and the internet lost its shit because a woman had an opinion, that was disgusting. This is a design choice. I wish David Ellis could see the difference. If you don't like it you don't need to play it.
If you want to complain about something how about the general lack of female, or hell even non white male, protagonists in video games or the fact that Naughty Dog had to fight to have Ellie on the box art for Last of Us or how about we fix how real women are treated in online games by shitty men. When somebody has to make a survival guide to not getting harassed online, you know there is a huge problem.
I don't see why we can't have both the realistic female characters and the cartoonishly over the top characters. Movies and television have the super capable normal female characters and the slutty friend who's always getting into wacky sexy high jinx, if they can have both why can't video games.
Jesus I am really just digging a fucking hole for myself here.
Let's just say I love games with strong female protagonists with lots of clothes on and normal proportions and I like games with over sexualized female characters with few clothes on and cartoonish proportions, it depends on the game. I think that Quiet is designed perfectly for something like Metal Gear Solid because, let's not forget, MGS is fucking stupid. It's always been stupid, it will always be stupid. Gloriously and beautifully stupid, but stupid none the less. Now if, say, Grim from Splinter Cell was wearing that getup I'd be the first to call bullshit because of the serious world and tone that series has.
