Year in Finished Games: 2022
This year I'm going in expecting to finish a huge backlog of JRPGs but will probably end up playing odd ball indie games and visual novels.

Finished Jan 2022. This is a placeholder for Milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk, the sequel that is currently not in the GB wiki. Milk inside... is a 20 minute visual novel about a girl buying some milk at the store and Milk outside... is the 90 minute follow up that follows her coming home and going to bed. Both stories show an abstract reality of someone severally mentally ill. Don't come to these stories looking for meaning or resolution. They are unsettling and end without catharsis. The sequel has good pixel art and animated CG and both games have good music by the game creator Nikita Kryukov.

FInished Mar 2022. Because of a neurotic need to play games in order, I needed to play this before DQB2. Rather mindless, but not unsatisfying.

Finished May 2022. Much improved over MBZ 1. Some of the later stages were somewhat annoying, I recall.

Finished August 2022. This was on my backlog for so long because I was intimidated by the perceived difficulty. It ended up being one of my favorite action platformers. Well worth the 50 hours it took to beat.

Finished August 2022. Kind of a nothing game. It made no impact on me whatsoever as I try to remember my time with it.

Finished December 2022. This includes all 8 chapters of Higurashi and the Rei chapter. One of my favorite "gaming" experiences was Reading Umineko When They Cry a few years ago. Since then I wanted to double back and read Higurashi and 150+ hours later I finished. While not as good as Umineko, Higurashi is still really quite amazing.
