Ok.. A little misleading on the title. (I hope so because if I hit the nail on my head then fml) Anyway, I hope to write some of my opinions about games.  Like reviews. I hope that I get honest reviews on my writing that do not include "Show yer tits!". While I find those funny, I would like some sort of bearing on the status of my skills (or lack, thereof) in writing.  I do also invite whit and random. just add some sort of critique.

Well if you want honesty your off to a horrible start. You wrote a couple of vague sentences and barley got your point across. And you arent going to do well if you are worried about people judging you as a female, the thought of your sex didnt even cross my mind until you pointed it out, in an annoying way i might add.

What is this....writing?  

No one needs an announcement that you are going to write some reviews, just do it.  Post a blog and call it "my review of such-and-such."  If you want some criticism concerning your style, then ask for that at the end of the blog.  And, for God's sake, why even bother mentioning your sex?  You don't need to hide it, but you shouldn't draw attention to it either.  Especially before you've done anything to build an identity other than that.  Let your work identify you, not your sex.  I suggest you take some time to look at Symphony and use her as a guide for becoming notjust a good female writer, but a good writer.

So if you want to do the whole editorial thing, then bringing your identity into your "reviews" would be okay. However, if you really want to analyze a game and write something worth while, you need to leave yourself out of the equation as much as possible. Egocentric tards often ruin their own genius by taking the subject matter and making it about themselves. Staying away from qualifiers like, "as a girl of the millennial generation I feel" or "but of course I'm an indie chick" is a great idea. Even better than that, is staying out of the first and second person all together. Its redundant and insulting to your audience to keep reminding them that this is how you feel. Of course this is how you feel, its your fucking review. Simple and relevant, you can shake the world up after you have a following. 
 
Also its best to never consider yourself a writer until someone is willing to pay for your writing. A writer is not someone who writes, its someone who gets paid to write.

Unfortunately, most of the people writing those articles don't know how to write either.  You slog through eight paragraphs of unengaging text / diatribe, and then at the end you realise the writer could have made their point in a couple of sentences. "
