the Series S seems like the most worthless system of all time, why not put a disk drive in that thing? Also, the naming of this gen is the worst of any console ever, I can't even imagine all the disappointed kids getting a one x and one s for christmas this year.

I don't know, but I'm a year older than Dan and It was a big thing for my older brother, and I had all the toys myself but didn't get into the show as much as he did. GI Joe was more a toy franchise for me, Ninja turtles took over in my generation. I think you probably just missed the gen by a bit, especially being outside the states.
That aside, I'm not sure what kind of vetting machine people think exists, but even as of right now, putting "merritt k" into various search engines doesn't bring up any allegations or controversies—with the exception of the Giant Bomb reddit thread that was created just yesterday. I'm not saying it's excusable or a ticket to freedom from responsibility, but the producer's note seems completely understandable. Something that was louder in other circles is now louder in this one as well.
That might not, but "merritt k abuse" will definitely get you some things! And that's the kind of thing you should probably be searching if you want to vet for this stuff. Just their name is kinda silly as that would be way way more likely to just get you their social media pages, articles they've written, and other stuff just generically about them, y'know?
Duly noted, but please understand how obscure or hidden this controversy may be. This is like if the "missing stair" was on a step that most people unconsciously skipped anyway. There are other people in the comments saying they had difficulty finding information about this, so it may be easier for you to get results based on your search history and previous interactions on the Internet. But from a vanilla, clean-slate search, even including terms like "abuse" and "allegations" only brings up that reddit thread and (further down) two links to discussion boards that mention merritt k along with a flood of other people back when the Alec Holowka story broke. Granted, one of those is the Waypoint discussion that would definitely raise red flags if it were seen, but you do have to actively search for it if you're uninitiated. Like, you have to intentionally step on each stair even if it's inconveniently placed or easily skippable.
Thanks for sharing this otherwise hidden information and bringing the inequity into light, as it were. There's something to be said about how now if you just put plain old "merritt k" into a clean-slate search engine, these allegations show up with more visibility. Ultimately, people have to decide on their own what is (not) acceptable, and it's arguably easier to make an educated decision when the information and/or evidence is readily available.
Yeah, it's probably based on users search histories. So if your in that community and search it often that will pop up. I typed that litteral search in and just got the reddit thread made after the beastcast, and honestly most people wouldn't think to type that in when researching a guest. But I guess you kinda have to now a days, even with people who you wouldn't even think to do so about.

I ran a search all through google and didn't find anything until I came to this post right here. So I don't think it's really a fair criticism to say Abby didn't do enough research. Literally the first post on google (anonymous or not) is a reddit thread made like 4 hours ago about this podcast with nothing but people talking about an allegation with absolutely no details about what the allegation was.
They should have just done this all about Madden and fifa since that's the only thing that looks like a game coming out any time soon. I can't believe they actually just showed an engine prototype that didn't even look like a game though, I guess they felt they had to show something so people knew EA was still a thing?
It's weird, I remember RE 3 being the game that introduced the whole "nemesis" thing with the big guy just jumping in randomly. Made that game one of the scariest ones. I thought it was wierd seeing it in the 2 remake actually.
Seems like they spent most of their time polishing the presentation rather than the actual game. Sad, but hopefully they can fix most this stuff, but having skill tree points off by an entire decimal point to make the character 100x more powerful randomly just seems like something that shouldn't happen (even if your happy at first when it does lol). Hopefully they get it together in a decent time table.
damn, at the end you can tell the super move is hitting for 100 and the regular is hitting for over 1000 lol. Man.
