I dunno if you're planning on playing the entire game or not, but if so, using bonus XP to level at camp will bone you in the long run because you'll be overlevelled for the main story which means in order to unlock new classes on characters will involve going out of your way to find enemies your level and grind on them instead of doing it naturally.
I don't see why it's some huge ask to want them to give out factual and correct information about a game they are doing a video on. And this isn't even the first time they've done this, Valkyria Chronicles 4 QL had Jan and Ben assuming the game was racist because they misread a word, and they misread something during the stadia stream that they actually went and corrected which is a huge surprise, normally they just ignore it.
Who benefits from a video where a chunk of the discussion is useless because they misinterpreted a basic game mechanic? And if they keep getting things wrong like this in games I'm familiar with why would I ever trust their word when they are talking about a game I don't know? I'm not asking them to remember every plot point from a game that came out in 1997, I'm asking them to know things about a game they just played and are doing a video on.
Not feeling the shorter goty list and stripping off the unique categories and re-purposing them as solo video content. Hopefully you go back to the old way next year.
Ben asking if there's still a modding community for Doom and Brad answering with "probably.....?" almost gave me a heart attack. The Doom modding community has been around since the game came out and has been putting out new maps and mods and changes and everything big and small constantly and still does to this day. There is always new content coming out for Doom. It will probably never stop. A lot of it is extremely good. Check out the Eviternity map pack for starters, then look at gameplay mods like Demonsteele, High Noon Drifter, Samsara, La Tailor Girl, Russian Overkill. There are so many.
Japan even has a Doom modding community, even though it's small. They put out a map pack called Japanese Community Project.
