EDIT: A great analogy would be if CBS cut ties with Giant Bomb because an article from The New York Post wrote that GB is a misogynistic website by cherry picking information and also using the stupid argument "they never hired a woman" and then the media supported that statement by spreading it.
Pretty much this. Someone could make a montage of every joke about women and homosexuality made on Giant bomb. But it would be a sign of bad faith if they were to go straight to Giant Bomb's sponsors and corporate owners for questioning instead of the dudes who actually said those things.
Fantastic point. CBS would drop such a small company in a heartbeat if it thought there would be bad press associated with them. i wonder how the GBE duders would feel then.
@alex: Hey Alex i heard you tell a joke i thought was offensive.
Now i have written the huffington post about it and they will be writing a scathing review of your actions probably costing you personal grief and possibly employment.
Does this sound fair to you?
I would never actually do this and would never advocate for lynching in the press but that is what happened here.
