That was so annoying in America. I'll tip because it's the custom, but 50% of the time people said "no that's too much" and the other half I'd ask what's correct for where I am (bar, diner, etc) and they'd say "oh no, you sort of don't have to but you can but I won't say how much." So if you tap, let's say Forums, at the top of the page on an iPad the menu opens ok, but then if you click a link it clicks wherever is BEHIND that item. You can hold your finger on whatever you want in the menu and choose "open in new tab", but not click it directly. I'm using an iPad 3 running Safari.

Because people with far too many posts next to their name think they run the forums and when a thread is no longer of interest to them or someone within the thread has annoyed them they start screaming "LOCK IT!" to show how above all this shit they are.
