I heard about this this morning, I know this isn't the first time a game has had a ridiculous a special edition ( looking at you, Saints Row 4) but, offering a house/zombie shelter is a bit much. Also, where would this shelter go? How?

I'm always of the opinion that if you love something, you can still accept it has flaws. I love Buffy, I always have. I think it's perfect television, I think the Buffyverse ( that's Buffy & Angel taken together on one, continus timeline) is perfect vampire fiction. Having said that, season 4 of Angel is a damn train wreck.

The challenge. Also, looking at the player character. The design reminds me so much of Vampire Hunter D.

@hypnotoadbrwowrowrow: ok, I've had time to think and watch it again. You guys are right, I should've focus more on the fun side of things ( I even said I knew the director was joking in my OP) I guess thing which got my blood up was thinking about the kind of Hollywood executive who would say, without any sense of irony : "people think that short film was awesome, we need to make that, but it should be 3 hours long and played totally straight."

No, no it isn't. It literally looks like a parody of dark, gritty reboots. Which is why it's awesome that the director only did this for a laugh. I just wish the rest of Hollywood could be so self aware.

On a related note: as a child of the 90's, one of the many 5 year olds who spent most of 95 worshiping at the feet of Tommy Oliver, I can say without doubt that MMPR does not hold up. At all.

Other than LoK Dead Sun ( which the OP already mentioned) I think it would have to be Stan Winston's Four Horsemen. the best way to describe it would be Darksiders meets Max Payne.

Great post. I can't deny that the influence of movies on video games has shaped many of my favourites, so I'm not against it in principle. What I am against is when it makes games overly restrictive experiences.

It's not a save loss, but I remember playing for hours in Pokemon Silver trying to hatch my Togipei egg, then give it endless haircuts to get it to evolve. Right as it was evolving...batteries die. God damn it

The thing about the game which baffles me the most is that $92 pack. If it's designed for people who bought the free version, why would you spend $92 when the retail disc is $40? And if it designed as a DLC pack on top of the retail game then it's beyond gross.
