This DLC really sucks, Shadows of Rose is like 95% reused assets and really doesn't have much going on aside from a slight bit of story stuff. The third person perspective doesn't feel as good as RE2/3 because a lot of the tight areas were clearly designed for first person. It only looks even worse if you go back and compare it to 7's DLC like End of Zoe or even the free Chris epilogue to that game. Save your money.
I liked Layers of Fear 1(have not played 2) and was actually pretty pleasantly surprised by Blair Witch. I thought the Medium was pretty eh but i've found the criticisms of it pretty disingenuous(regarding the story, gameplay I get). I feel like a lot of peoples hate for Bloober Team is starting to get pretty bandwagon-y. Anyway, I don't want any team to remake Silent Hill 2, I just want 1-4 on steam with the minimum amount of tweaks to make them more out of the box ready for modern hardware(heck let's throw Shattered Memories in there too because i've heard good things, and then the rest just for historical purposes).
That was a really fun wrap up, I look forward to the depressing, miserable nightmare that is Silent Hill 2 (Man, the letter, still gets me). Also really hoping y'all get to 3 at some point too, for obvious reasons(well, not obvious to Jan yet!), and because I think that one is the scariest on a pure moment to moment basis.
I remember really not enjoying Hotline Miami 2 mainly because the maps were so big and you were getting killed from off screen enemies way more, it felt more bad design hard rather than challenging hard that Hotline Miami 1 was. Didn't love the story stuff either but that was a secondary issue.
@csl316: Yeah it's not bad per say, it's just...functional, aimless, obligatory almost. I guess I just figured the shine would start to wash off now that it's been a month or so. I really did enjoy the multiplayer a bunch when it surprise launched earlier, but the cracks have definitely shown and BTB being completely broken for over a month now has done a lot to kill it for me. The Halo MCC is pretty much a forever installed game for me and I still replay those campaigns, but Infinite's campaign I couldn't uninstall fast enough once I was finished with it.
