@aquashibby3000: Fair enough, though it still doesn't beat the all time greatest(in my opinion): The EA Godfather 2 Game Brass Knuckles.

"Crysis 2 Shake weight" seems like a random series of words that should activate a sleeper agent.

I don't care if they don't beat every game(which, kinda surprised people thought they would, these games aren't exactly short and all the required spin offs, even in just cutscene movie mode, is a heck of a lot of stuff to get through) and I'm just happy they are looking at them with a more positive perspective than the last time.

Definitely getting heavy nostalgia from the opening hours of KH2, I'd played the first game a couple years after release(played it at a friends house, rented it once or twice, then finally got my own copy, which I remember had the red "greatest hits" packaging on the case). Got Chain of Memories not long after but I never did actually finish it, I got all the way to Marluxia but never beat him(I really didn't like the card based combat). Since I didn't really follow gaming news very closely at the time, at least online, I got what little info I knew about 2 before release just from magazines, so when I did play it on release, I really was confused and shocked at how you started as a totally different character. Even though I loved 2, 352/7 days was the last one I played having no way to play Birth by Sleep or 3 by the time that came out (No PSP and have been PC only since late 360 era).

Oh bless you Brad for erasing the Anthem rap from your brain, only to have it reintroduced.

Cyberpunk has that persistent feeling I get in some games where it just feels like a collection of parts rather than a finished product. Like a bunch of talented and hard working people dumped tons of time and energy into creating assets, tuning the feel of something, or working on some sub-system and then just tossed it over a wall for someone else to worry about. I can't put my finger on it, but there's not one particular piece that feels polished enough to cover up the flaws of anything else. Or maybe it's just what happens when ambition meets hard reality, deadlines, budgets, and the need to support 5 platforms.

Regardless, if this was someone's first experience with a CDPR game, I wouldn't be surprised if they said "fuck this" and never bought another game from the studio. It's not a particularly amazing game on its own, it doesn't run that well, and it must look and run like dogshit on the previous generation of consoles.

I think that sums it up pretty well, watching this I couldn't quite put the finger on why it just didn't look interesting to me even disregarding the open world jank and it seems to be a less then the sum of it's parts thing. Nothing looks particularly *bad* but the world looks a little too sterile/empty, the characters feel like they tried a little too hard on writing them edgy, the combat looks a little clunky in places and the skills/crafting/etc. looks too in depth for it's own good. It all adds up to just looking....fine. Which is a bummer, I didn't follow the game much since it was announced so early but I like other cyberpunk themed stuff like Deus Ex and Ghost in the Shell, but I think this one is a maybe check it out for cheap in a couple of years.
